Fans saw Kakashi play an extremely important role in the story of Naruto right from the beginning to the very end. Throughout his journey, he managed to gain a lot of strength and become massively powerful. By the time of the Fourth Great Ninja War, Kakashi was already someone strong enough to be a Kage, but things took an even more exciting turn towards the end when he manifested dual Mangekyo Sharingan and gained a full body Susanoo.

Kakashi Hatake was a very important character throughout the war, for more than one reason. Fans got to see him play a massively important role as a leader of a division, but more than that, Kakashi had his entire rivalry and friendship with Obito play out as a core plotline in the war. Because of these reasons, it was inevitable for Kakashi to be one of the most featured characters in the Fourth Great Ninja War. Fans saw him go from strength to strength, fighting one powerful enemy after another, and then providing backup to some other skilled ninjas, such as Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. Undoubtedly, the most important part of the story for Kakashi came when his relationship with Obito started being explored. Kakashi fought against Obito Uchiha and, eventually, played a role in convincing him to join the good side again, along with Naruto Uzumaki.

Once Obito returned to the good side, both he and Kakashi started to aid Naruto Uzumaki in battle, and Obiot became the reason why Naruto even survived in the first place. Unfortunately for Kakashi, standing up to powerful enemies was too much at first. When Madara had awakened his full Ten Tails power, tapping into the power of the Six Paths Senjutsu and gaining the perfect Ten Tails Jinchuriki form, it became very difficult for Kakashi to compete with him. He ended up losing his Mangekyo Sharingan to him permanently, with Naruto patching up his old eye with Yin-Yang Release.

At this point, Kakashi should’ve been cast aside completely. However, the author of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto, had other plans. Even though Kakashi Hatake remained practically useless right up until the very end, once Obito died, something special happened. Fans saw Obito Uchiha pass on his remaining chakra to Kakashi before he truly moved on. This gave Kakashi access to twin Mangekyo Sharingan, with the power of Kamui in both eyes.

Why Kakashi Was Able To Manifest A Full Body Susanoo

Kakashi’s Full Body Susanoo Was Absolutely Monstrous In Combat

The Naruto series shocked quite a lot of fans when Obito Uchiha passed on his chakra to Kakashi and gave him access to the double Mangekyo Sharingan. But, while this was understandable for many fans, what was completely and utterly shocking to them was that Kakashi was easily able to manifest a full-body Susanoo with these eyes. Usually, to manifest a full-body Susanoo, one needs the power of the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. A regular Mangekyo Sharingan has never been able to manifest a full-body Susanoo. However, in Kakashi’s case, it became possible.

Naturally, this might have come as a surprise to a lot of the fans, but the truth is that it makes complete sense. Fans should remember that Kakashi didn’t inherit just any power from Obito. Obito was a wielder of Six Paths powers. As such, the power that Kakashi gained was Six Paths power. This is, as fans know, the biggest power that anyone can gain in the Naruto series. For Kakashi to have it meant that everything about him was automatically on the next level now. Kakashi managed to get access to the Mangekyo Sharingan, and since Obito’s Six Paths chakra was being channeled through his body, he went on to awaken the Full body Susanoo without much trouble.

Naturally, this boost in power was extremely significant. As seen towards the end of the war, Kakashi was able to keep up even with Kaguya Otsutsuki in battle. In fact, at that point, Kakashi was likely even stronger than Naruto and Sasuke, given that his powers essentially made him invincible, with his attacks being strong enough to do critical damage even to someone as strong as Kaguya, which Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha struggled to even graze in battle. In this battle, Kakashi’s power was on the next level. He was able to use Kamui with just about every attack of his and, eventually, played a big role in sealing away Kaguya Otsutsuki. Without Kakashi, the war would most definitely have been lost, and that’s a fact.

Could Kakashi Ever Regain The Sharingan?

Kakashi’s Power Was Majestic, But Temporary

Kakashi’s power at the end of the war was absolutely magnificent, such that it surpassed that of even Madara Uchiha by far. Kakashi rivaled Kaguya herself and did great damage to her. But, this power didn’t last long. Immediately after the battle, Kakashi lost the power of the Mangekyo Sharingan, and this was quite expected. When Kakashi gained this power, Obito granted it to him as a gift. According to him, this was supposed to be his early present to Kakashi for taking office as the Sixth Hokage. Obviously, this was supposed to mirror Obito giving him his Sharingan for becoming a Jonin, and it was quite a special moment indeed. But, clearly, Obito followed it up by saying that this power-up came with a time limit.

Once Kakashi utilized the Six Paths chakra that he was given, his Mangekyo Sharingan went away and never returned after. In the future, Kakashi isn’t expected to regain this power either, and that is simply because Obito is dead and the chakra wore off. Regardless, Kakashi still gained tremendous strength after the war, so much so that he’s considered to be stronger the Sixth Hokage than he was with one Mangekyo Sharingan during the war.

Hopefully, the Boruto series will throw some focus on Kakashi Hatake later down the line, and fans will get a few moments of the beloved Copy Ninja.
