Similar to how developer Warhorse Studios included plenty of references, Easter eggs, and hidden details in its predecessor, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 also has tons of content that can be missed if you are not specifically looking for it. Aside from the main narrative continuing Henry’s story, there are various details sprinkled in throughout the game that range from referencing other franchises and real-life events to NPC behavior that is quite impressive to behold.

Random Compies
A Throwback To The Chickens In The Original Game
If you have played the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance from 2018 and paid a bit of attention to its numerous cutscenes, chances are that you have come across random chickens running around. This was quickly picked up by the game’s community and became somewhat of a meme, and in true Warhorse Studios fashion, the developer brought the gag back in the sequel.
Only this time, the chickens have been replaced by Compsognathus dinosaurs showing up during cutscenes, who used to live in what is now Europe millions of years ago and could only grow to the size of chickens, making it a clever throwback.

Alien Bodies
A Real-Life Event In Mexico
Back in 2023, it was claimed that aliens and UFOs are real, a sentiment that was supported by evidence showcasing two little bodies with three fingers on each hand and non-human features such as relatively large heads. It was also revealed that these bodies were found in Peru in 2017, but regardless of how much truth there is to that story, a reference to the event in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is quite amusing.
Deep within one of the many forests in the western section of the game’s map lie two boxes with alien bodies placed within them, similar to how the Mexican Congress presented them in real life.

Assassin’s Creed
Nothing Is True, Everything Is Permitted
There aren’t many video game franchises that come to mind aside from Assassin’s Creed when the conversation around historical action-adventure titles is brought up, so a medieval game like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 just had to pay homage to it. When Henry becomes a monk, he can confront other monks and accuse them of suspicious activity, like being an assassin in the past.

There’s victory waiting to be consumed, and Henry is hungry.
As the other monk tries to defend himself against the accusations, Henry says, “Nothing is true, everything is permitted,” which is the iconic tagline that the order of the assassins used to stick by in Ubisoft’s long-running franchise.

The Blacksmith Whistle
Henry Remembers His Roots
One of the major defining traits of Henry’s character is him being the son of a Blacksmith father, Martin, who you meet in the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Henry does not forget about his roots in the sequel either, as during the sequences where he channels his inner blacksmith to create weapons, he whistles tunes that will instantly take you back in time.
These whistling tunes are all songs that were featured in the 2018 Kingdom Come: Deliverance, resulting in a nostalgic little throwback as you improve your arsenal.

Unique NPC Routines
Details That Add More Life To The Game’s World
An unmatched strength that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has over its other action RPG counterparts is that the NPCs feel like real people who are just going about their day and lives, with extremely well-detailed behavior once you witness it. This adds even more life to the world of the game, as Henry can observe someone’s entire day from the moment they are having their breakfast to running unique errands and going back to bed.
NPCs do not just keep standing in one spot and repeating limited dialogue, so you will need to tag one and follow them around to see their complete daily routines.

Let Me Solo Her
A Tribute To An Elden Ring Hero
Elden Ring is arguably the biggest action RPG to have come out in modern gaming, and the level of difficulty that accompanies all of its boss fights only added to its overall success. That is where Let Me Solo Her, an Elden Ring player specializing in defeating Malenia, Blade of Miquella, swooped in and became a hero in the community for helping others out during the extremely difficult boss fight.

Here’s everything you need to know about playstyles and builds in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
As a tribute to the player, to the southwestern forest region of Lower Semine Mill, Warhorse Studios placed a skeleton with a teapot on its head, along with minimal clothing and dual swords. It is reminiscent of the customized character that Let Me Solo Her used to save countless players from Malenia and a worthy homage to one of gaming’s finest moments.

Stealing From NPCs
It Actually Affects Them
In the majority of other video games, taking what you want from the NPCs does not really have many consequences, as the items usually respawn pretty quickly, but that is not the case in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s detailed world. For example, if you steal an NPC’s clothes at night when they are sleeping, they will not be able to find something to wear when they wake up in the morning.
These details come in the form of individual inventories that each NPC possesses in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, so once an item is taken out from it, it is gone for good, and they will not be able to use it.
Arrow In The Knee
Aside from being one of the most high-profile releases in the action RPG genre, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim came out during a time when the Internet meme culture was basically just starting to rise. This is how the “Arrow in the knee” meme was born, as the guards in the Bethesda game used to reminisce about their action-packed lives before it all came to a sudden halt.
Over a decade after Skyrim and the meme originated, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 references it in a conversation with Karel Arrowhead, with Henry talking about “a bloke who took an arrow to the knee,” which was one of the most popular variations of the original dialogue. From paying homage to those who came before to referencing a meme that took the Internet by storm, it is the perfect Easter egg that almost everyone can understand and appreciate.
