Infinity Nikki‘s whimstars are star-shaped collectibles that are mainly used to unlock nodes in the Heart of Infinity. The Heart of Infinity allows your Nikki to unlock all sorts of abilities, stat buffs, and miracle outfits.
You can find Whimstars all over the map, some more difficult to obtain than others. The Whimstars also come in various types. The different types of Whimstars require different methods to obtain. Some require puzzle solving while others need you to physically chase after them.

Whimflutter Whimstars
Keep Swinging Your Net
You will instantly recognize a Whimflutter Whimstar with its unique butterfly-like appearance. You will notice these Whimstars floating in one place. To catch them, you have to select the bug-catching ability and capture them with your net.
While this may seem pretty easy, it can sometimes take quite a few tries to catch one. As you keep trying and failing, the frustration builds up and makes it even harder to catch it. You could potentially get lucky and capture the Whimstar on your second, or even first try. But that doesn’t change the repetitive nature of a Whimflutter Whimstar.

Whimstars Hidden Inside Walls
Roll Down A Boulder To Break The Wall
Whimstars hidden inside a wall almost seem glitched out at first glance. But you will notice that these Whimstars have boulders lying close to them. You must move closer to these boulders and push them towards the wall. The boulder will break the wall, and you will be able to obtain the Whimstar.

This is another one of those gimmicky Whimstars that are extremely hard the first time you encounter it, but once you figure out the trick, it gets much easier. After you complete a few of these Whimstar challenges, they might become a bit boring.

Cloud Whimstars
Ride A Pink Cloud To Get To The Whimstar
Once you find a Whimstar floating on a tiny pink cloud, it will transform into a bigger cloud that you can ride and follow. You will also notice small Whimstar pieces scattered around the cloud. You must collect every single piece if you want to obtain this Whimstar.
Some of these can get quite difficult because of the terrain or the cloud’s location. Remember, the cloud will keep moving even if you jump off to collect a Whimstar piece. You must carefully jump off the cloud, capture the Whimstar piece, and then get back on the cloud. Repeating this process can get quite tedious and require multiple tries, which might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Wormhole Whimstars
Cover All The Holes
You will often come across these Whimstars hidden underground and surrounded by holes. You must solve them by covering each hole with the scattered boxes in the area. This will force the worm out of the hole and push the Whimstar along with it.
These can be especially tricky the first time you encounter them because some have fewer boxes than the holes. You must cover the last hole by standing on it yourself. Remember, if you capture the worm from the wrong hole, you will have to wait one entire day for the worm to respawn. Certainly not the most satisfying way to get a Whimstar.

Sky Monarch Whimstar
Tame The Sky Monarch
This is a Whimstar that’s too high up for you to get. So, you need to ride a Sky Monarch. There doesn’t seem to be a set time for when the Sky Monarch lands, so you might have to wait at the nest for some time. Once the Sky Monarch arrives and sits on the nest, all you have to do is put on your animal grooming outfit and tame the Sky Monarch.

Once done, leap onto the sky monarch to ride it. Do remember that The Sky Monarch will go around the Whimstar, so you have to jump at the right time to get it. This Whimstar challenge is one of the more fun ones simply because you get to ride the big fluffy bird.

Round Whimstars
Look For Star-Shaped Objects
These Whimstars appear as glowing spheres that you must approach. Once you investigate the sphere, you will need to look in its surroundings for star-shaped objects. These can be physical objects scattered around the area or actual star shapes carved into walls.
The star shapes hidden in darker places can be particularly challenging for mobile players. There’s no trick to finding them. All you can do is look around until you come across a star. Once done, it will turn the sphere into a Whimstar for you to obtain. This Whimstar challenge can be a great way to pass some time. However, it can definitely get frustrating if you’re unable to find the star shape.

Parkour Whimstars
Put Your Platforming Skills To The Test
These Whimstars are similar to the pink cloud ones, except there is no cloud to ride on. However, the terrain in these can sometimes be much harder to navigate. Of course, you still have to collect the small Whimstar pieces lying around until you get to the main Whimstar.

Catch The Fish And Tame The Furry Animals
The Whimwink Whimstars are transformed into adorable furry animals, while Whimfin Whimstars appear as glowing fishes in the water. They function the same as real creatures in the world of Infinity Nikki. To get both of their Whimstars, tame the Whimwink and capture the Whimfin like a normal fish.
For a Whimwink, make sure that you stealthily approach it with your animal grooming outfit. Whimfin Whimstars are much more straightforward, as you don’t need anything besides your fishing ability to catch one. Both of these Whimstar challenges are relatively easy, making them a great way to sit back and relax.

Curio Whimstars
Use Critical Thinking To Solve The Puzzles
You will find these Whimstars inside the Curio domain, which you can access by entering through a gate. Many of these Whimstars need you to solve puzzles and be aware of your surroundings. Of course, some puzzles are simple, but others can pose quite a bit of a challenge.
The Curio domain Whimstars offer some of the most unique challenges, as each puzzle is different and requires thinking outside the box. The trick to solving them is carefully observing your surroundings and recognizing patterns. The whole process feels satisfying and rewarding, making this the best Whimstar challenge.
