“You can’t see me” is a catchphrase that has not only followed John Cena around for his entire pro wrestling career but is something he says in the ring that has transcended WWE to become a part of popular culture. The running joke is that people can’t see Cena in photos or footage, and thanks to Mattel, that will soon quite literally apply to a new John Cena action figure.
Okay, not literally. Mattel isn’t selling an empty box claiming there’s an invisible Cena toy in there, as amusing as that would be. It has revealed plans to do the next best thing, though. Revealed by Ringside Collectibles, Mattel has created a clear plastic John Cena action figure. Designed to poke fun at his iconic catchphrase, the Cena figure is a part of the Greatest Hits 8 line and is expected to be released sometime in 2025.

Better looking, more match types, and the beginnings of what appears to be the best showcase mode we’ve had for a while.
Releasing the figure this year would make a lot of sense, and not just because images of it looking ready to go have been shared online. 2025 is Cena’s retirement year – from WWE, not Hollywood. The 16-time World Champion has been wrestling less and less as his movie career has continued to consume his life, so he has decided 2025 will be his final year as a WWE Superstar, one that will end a stint that has run for more than two decades.
John Cena Is Getting A Clear Plastic Action Figure This Year
You Can’t See It!
The price and dimensions of the Cena figure haven’t been revealed, but since we’ve gotten a first look at its packaging, we do know what comes with it. As well as the base figure, the contents of the box imply it will also come with alternative heads so you can change see-through Cena’s expression, and a second set of hands so that Cena can pull off his can’t see me taunt on top of being made of clear plastic to represent that his enemies can’t see him. There’s also a clear plastic cap and chain in there to complete the look.
Cena might be hanging up his wrestling gear come the end of 2025, but his fans will be able to carry on his legacy through video games for years to come. Cena will be a part of WWE 2K25’s roster with the next installment in the series now less than a month away for those who buy the Deadman or Bloodline editions. The special editions will be released on March 7, 2025, with the standard edition launching a week later on March 14.
