Magic Chess: Go Go is a chess-like multiplayer strategy title by Vizta Games, a subsidiary of MOONTON Games. In the game, you can have the option to select from a variety of Commanders, to play against other players and beat their Commanders. In this Magic Chess: Go Go Commander Tier List, we’ll explore the variety of Commanders in the game, offering tips to help you build a strong lineup around them for success in battles.

If you are recently starting Magic Chess: Go Go, we have also covered a Beginner’s Guide, and a Ranked Guide, to help you with the basics. Also, remember to go through our redeem codes article to grab some freebies along the way.

Magic Chess: Go Go Tier List: Best Commanders

I have prepared this list by categorizing the Commanders into two groups: MLBB-based Commanders and Other Commanders. As an experienced player with significant time spent in both Magic Chess mode and MCGG, I have put together this pre-global launch tier list for you. To make it simple, I have further divided them into three major tiers: Strong (S)Good (A), and Average (B).

Best Commander in Magic Chess: Go Go

Best MLBB-based Commander – Ling

Ling is an excellent choice as a Commander, and you should take advantage of him in your matches. Currently, I feel like he is one of the strongest out there, allowing you to easily take down the farthest enemy hero. Players often position their strongest heroes in the furthest corners of the last row, making Ling’s passive skills highly effective.

With Ling’s Showdown passive skill, he creates a Dueling Ring on the chessboard lasting for 25 seconds. You can place your strongest hero in the ring, and the enemy hero farthest from the ring will be drawn into it at the start of the battle to engage in a duel. During the duel, both heroes can only use basic attacks. If your hero wins, he gains buffs to fight the other remaining enemies on the chessboard.

Additionally, with the Transcendent Stance passive skill, your hero will permanently gain 4% extra hybrid ATK after winning the duel, stacking up to 10 times. For good results, you can use the 6 Astro Power + 4 Swordsman lineup.

Best Other Commander – Tharz

Tharz was quite irritating when he was first launched in Magic Chess mode, as he could devour the Shop and provide additional copies of the heroes you already owned. And he happens to be very strong here as well. While there are other useful non-MLBB-based Commanders too, I believe Tharz is a better option.

With his active skill, Feast, you can use it to devour the Shop after the Commander’s capacity limit reaches 9. This disables the Shop but grants you additional copies of non-3 Star heroes you already own every round. On top of that, what makes him stand apart is his passive, Gluttony, now offering 1 extra hero each round. For good results, you can opt for a 6 Northern Vale + 4 Summoner lineup.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, this commander tier list is crafted to help you secure victories by combining a powerful Commander with a strong lineup. However, remember that what’s good for everyone, may not be good for you, so feel free to experiment with them and discover what suits you best. There is no proper established meta in the game yet, and consider this as pre-meta. However, you can win your matches with ease, if you properly utilize them.
