The Ones That Last

Beat the odds and walked into the sunset.

For this achievement/trophy, you need to get the ‘best’ ending of the game. To do that, you need to achieve the following:

  • All of your companions must be Heroes of the Veilguard, so you need to do all their companion quests.
  • Every faction needs to have three-star faction strength.
  • All faction leaders must be alive.
  • Convince Mythal to be on your side.
  • Persuade Solas not to collapse the Veil.

The Storm Quelled

The poisoned fruit ripens.

The Storm Quelled achievement/trophy tasks you with finding three mysterious circular stones. Here are their locations:

  • One is in the area where you fight the Formless one dragon. It’s in a little side room, floating atop some treasure.
  • You fight the blighted dragon during the ‘The Heart of Corruption’ quest. After defeating it, a stairway opens up. At the top of it, you can find another stairway. Atop of that is another circle.
  • There’s one in the Arlathan Forest that you can reach by completing a light beam puzzle. It’s sitting behind a large chest and a mini-boss.

Collecting these things unlocks a secret ending, and only after that ending do you get the achievement or trophy.

In Peace

Found hope in the aftermath.

For this achievement or trophy, you need to complete all the quests in the Hossberg Wetlands, which are ‘Cabin in the Blight,’ ‘Something Wicked,’ and ‘Something Coming.’ With those quests done, the area will begin to heal, and flowers will grow. You need to find three flowers and bring them to the spirit of Hope, who is in the arena near where you fought the dragons in the ‘Fire and Ice’ quest.

No Real Gods

Drew out the latent magic in every Altar of the Evanuris

Even though the description says “Altar of the Evanuris,” you must draw magic from both the Evanuris and Fen’Harel Altars for this achievement. There are 29 of them in total, and they can be found in most areas of the game. The Evanuris ones are marked on the map by a dragon icon, while the Fen’Harel ones have wolf icons. You simply have to interact with the altars and then either shoot things out of the air or follow where the statue is pointing.

A Most Esteemed Purveyor

Few people are worthy of an invitation, you know.

You need to access The Black Emporium through ‘The Black Emporium’ quest, which you get from the caretaker. Here is a full explanation of how to get the achievement/trophy.

A New Look

Changed the look of an item for the first time.

Early in the game, you have a main quest that requires you to customize your room. Once it’s over, you can interact with the wardrobe in the corner to edit your items. This includes changing the look of your weapons and clothes. Once you do that, you get this achievement or trophy.

Between a Rook and a Hard Place

Performed five takedowns.

Not far into the game, you get introduced to the stagger bar. When you fill an enemy’s stagger bar, you can go up to them and hit the button prompt to perform a takedown. Do this five times for the achievement or trophy.

A Faction’s Favor

Upgraded a faction merchant for the first time.

Factions have specific merchants, typically hanging out at their camps. If you have enough money, resources, and reputation with a specific faction, you can rank up their merchant. To do so, simply interact with them and hit the button prompt for ranking up.

Rune For Improvement

Socketed a rune for the first time.

When you acquire Solas’s lyrium dagger, you can insert runes into it from the character screen on the pause menu.

Falling For You

Defeated an enemy by knocking them off a ledge during combat.

When an enemy is near a ledge, strike them multiple times to knock them off. Alternatively, if you have an ability that naturally pushes enemies back, you can use that, too.

Nostalgia Trip

Tested for fall damage and survived in the Lighthouse.

To get the Nostalgia Trip achievement or trophy, you first need to complete the lighthouse statue puzzle. This gives you access to the Music Room. Then, after chapter eight, you can enter another area from within the Music Room with the help of some wisps. This teleports you to a balcony. Jump off it to get the achievement or trophy.

Clear Minds and Open Hearts

Let fly your voice to Mythal.

If you’ve found and witnessed all of Solas’ (Fen’Harel) memories, you can meet Morrigan in the Crossroads. She will allow you to meet Mythal. You get this achievement or trophy by persuading Mythal to join your cause without fighting her. To do that, select the following responses:

  • I want your help.
  • We must stop the blight.
  • You stood against it.
  • We must stop the gods.
  • They wronged you.
  • We are worthy.
  • Building a safe place.

This is a basic guide, as other players have reported that they had different responses

Enhancements!

Fully upgraded a weapon, armor, and accessory to their highest level and rarity.

You upgrade your gear by either finding duplicate gear or getting the Caretaker to upgrade them. For the former, you need to loot all the chests you can find in the hopes of picking up duplicates. To give the Caretaker the ability to fully upgrade your stuff, you must bring mementos to him.

Stacking the Deck

Spent at least 52 points in Rook’s skill trees.

Every time you level up, you get a skill point to spend. You can also get skill points from Fen’Harel Altars. For this achievement or trophy, all you have to do is acquire and spend 52 of them.

Bringing Down the Sky

Defeated all high dragons across northern Thedas.

There are six high dragons to slay in the game, and each one is part of a quest. Here are all of them:

  • Fangscorcher – You fight Fangscorcher during the ‘Slaying the Fangscorcher’ quest, which is part of Taash’s questline.
  • Kataranda the Stormrider – You also face Kataranda as part of Taash’s questline. This time, it’s part of the ‘Kataranda the Stormrider’ quest.
  • Corius the Icetalon and Seartooth Vyrantus – You fight this pair of dragons during the Fire and Ice main quest.
  • The Formless One – You battle The Formless One in Necropolis as part of the Pinnacle of its Kind quest.
  • Kaltenzahn – Another Dragon Hunting quest that’s part of the Taash companion questline is called “Lair of the Dragon King.” In it, you fight Kaltenzahn.
