Fortnite has had tons of collabs, but not all of them get a whole host of skins, Fortnite X Metal Gear is one of these collabs, which a lot of players thought was a bit underutilized. We got a few re-used items in-game, the bonus Snake skin. Then some minor additions to the item shop. however, given the history and popularity of Metal Gear there’s plenty of room for more.
Fans hoping for more might be in luck now, as Fortnite leakers are reporting that Fortnite X Metal Gear Wave 2 is currently in the works! After Raiden in Fortnite popped back recently, eyes have been back on this collab. And it seems it’ll be followed up with a whole new set of skins. What exactly is coming and when can we expect it?

Fortnite X Metal Gear Wave 2 Leaks
Fortnite leakers have found quite a bit of new content coming to the game. For collabs, we’ve got new ones like Fortnite X Avatar. However, it seems older collabs will get a second look. This time it’ll be Fortnite X Metal Gear. We already have one version of Snake in the game. However, there’s definitely room for more.
Since we’ve had a good few Metal Gear games, there’s plenty of characters that could be called upon. The franchise might have room for tons more skins to come to Fortnite. We’re expecting another wave to show up, so likely around 3 skins with other cosmetics. This typically makes them easier to sell in bundles.
When exactly can we expect the new skins? Over the next Fortnite updates, we’ll likely learn more. As references to them get added into the files. However, we won’t know for certain until they come to the item shop, which could be at any point once the skins are in the game! It doesn’t seem like it’s happening this week, which might push the release back to the next Fortnite season. However, Fortnite X Metal Gear Wave 2 should be an interesting update once it arrives.
