Forgotten Assassin’s Creed game finally gets Steam achievements, 11 years later

There are a lot of Assassin’s Creed games. The adventures of Ezio, Altaïr, and even the Kenway family only really scratch the surface of the Ubisoft series, so it’s no surprise that some of the older entries have been forgotten. That’s doubly true for Assassin’s Creed Liberation, which first launched on the PS Vita and then made its way to other platforms. It’s the AC game I don’t ever hear come up in conversation, but a new spate of Steam achievements might have us all taking a trip down memory lane.

Assassin’s Creed Liberation is the latest in a long line of Ubisoft games to get Steam achievements. Many Assassin’s Creed games have gotten virtual trophies on Valve’s platform in recent months, with Watch Dogs and even some Far Cry games joining the pack, too. With the Assassin’s Creed Shadows release date around the corner, and the game coming to Steam on day one, it’s clear Ubisoft is doing everything it can to bring support back to Valve’s storefront.

For Assassin’s Creed Liberation, this means you’ve got 30 new achievements to unlock across the entire stealth game. You’ll also be happy to know that none of these trophies are for the multiplayer portion that was available on the PC Vita, so you’re not stuck with some impossible tasks.

Ubisoft also says “Achievements will be retroactively earned for those accomplishments already completed in your journey,” so if you’ve already beaten Liberation on PC, you have little to worry about. Check out the game here.
