Ilmfinity Studios LLC has opened pre-registration for their long-awaited open-world monster-taming RPG, EvoCreo 2, for both Android and iOS. A sequel to the beloved RPG, EvoCreo, this game was initially announced back in February 2020 and was set to launch in Autumn 2020, but faced multiple delays.
Get ready to finally dive into Shoru, a world full of mythical creatures
EvoCreo 2 is a beautiful blend of creature collection, exploration, and battle strategy set in the immersive world of Shoru, home to mythical creatures called Creo. In this game, you play as a recruit in the Shoru Police Academy, with a mission to uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of the Creo monsters while navigating dark plots.
Apart from the main storyline, you can assist the citizens of Shoru by completing over 50 missions, building alliances, and uncovering hidden treasures, which sounds fun. But what makes me more eager, however, is the thrill of hunting rare and legendary monsters, each with unique alternate colors. You can also build a strong team and strategize accordingly for turn-based battles.
I am also excited to explore the vast world, from dense forests and mysterious caves to bustling towns, with the sequel adding two more biomes. Additionally, the game features a highly customizable system for trainer battles.
Despite years of delay since its initial announcement, the game looks very promising
Overall the game looks highly promising, despite all the delays it had. With over 300 creatures to capture, 100 unique traits to enhance, 200 plus moves to master, elemental weaknesses, and more, the game offers a fun and immersive experience.
You can also challenge other trainers in the Coliseum, enjoy 30-plus hours of offline and online gameplay, and take proper advantage of no level cap on your monsters, all of these complemented by stunning pixel art visuals.
Originally set for a 2020 release, the game faced multiple delays, including a postponed 2022 release. The team addressed the issues on Facebook in 2022, explaining, “The last two years have proven to be quite difficult for the team as a whole with a lot of life changes happening and affecting their ability to work on the project with some leaving the project entirely.“
Progress was further slowed when the lead developer took a break, delaying development until they returned, along with a few other issues. The team stated “For now the release is tentatively 2023 if everything goes smoothly for the rest of this year,” but the game got more delays, and now after years of delays, we can finally expect the game to launch properly.
