Every year, Clash Royale has a special event for celebrating Valentine’s Day, and it’s now back again with this week’s refresh. Power of Love is all about charming the opposing units and making them a company for your troops, even if it lasts for a brief period.
The rules for Power of Love are easy. Every 15 seconds, one heart buff appears on each side of the battlefield, and the first troop to touch the heart will receive the buff. The buff sends out a charm every 5 seconds, and any opposing troop that is affected by this charm will become hostile to their units and towers.

Berserker is a new common card in Clash Royale. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
Best Decks For Power Of Love Event
The best kind of troops that can be used to dominate Power of Lover are tanky units that preferably target the crown towers or structures. Cards like Giant, Royal Giant, Electro Giant, Skeleton Giant, and Elixir Golem should all work perfectly in this event.
Not only do these cards focus on the crown towers, but also any opposing card that tries to kill them will be affected by the buff, turning into an ally for the giant. So, always make sure that your Giant eats the buff rather than any other troop.
Skeleton Giant Deck
- Firecracker Evolution (Elixir 3)
- Royal Recruits Evolution (Elixir 7)
- Freeze (Elixir 4)
- Skeleton Giant (Elixir 6)
- Elixir Golem (Elixir 3)
- Dart Goblin (Elixir 3)
- Arrows (Elixir 3)
- Cannon (Elixir 3)
- Average Elixir Cost: 4.0
The good thing about Skeleton Giant is that he only needs to reach next to the crown tower, no matter if he fails to hit the tower. The power of explosion that he leaves behind after dying is just enormous, and if the player manages to capture the buff with Skeleton Giant, it would be quite easy to heavily damage the opponent’s crown tower.
Elixir Golem is the next option to capture buff that works just as fine as Skeleton Giant. Other troops like Firecracker can support the pushing unit from behind, and Freeze could help the player put a hiatus on the opposing unit’s attack and let the buff go away before the carrier passes the bridge.
However, if the enemy does manage to cross the bridge, Cannon could be a good distraction. Just make sure to place it in a way that even if it gets affected by the buff, it cannot target your own crown towers.
Electro Giant Deck
- Lumberjack Evolution (Elixir 4)
- Firecracker (Elixir 3)
- Electro Giant (Elixir 7)
- Poison (Elixir 4)
- Cannon (Elixir 3)
- Royal Ghost (Elixir 3)
- Arrows (Elixir 3)
- Mirror (Elixir ?)
- Average Elixir Cost: 3.6
Thanks to the bursting shock around him, Electro Giant can barely be countered by spam units, unlike most other tanky cards. Now, imagine how overpowered he could be when carrying the heart buff!
Capturing the heart and pushing with Electro Giant works perfectly if there is someone behind to support him, and this job can easily be done by either Firecracker or Dart Goblin. Cannon is also present on this deck as well to keep the enemy troops at bay.
And let’s not forget about combining a Lumberjack with a Mirror. If you manage to drop two back-to-back Lumberjacks and then let one of them capture the heart buff, they will turn into a menace, taking down an entire crown tower on their own. Just make sure to do it in the Double Elixir phase!
