Two-time TI Champion, Sébastien “Ceb” Debs has returned to the active Dota 2 roster of OG. If this news feel like a déjà vu, you aren’t alone because this is the third time Ceb has returned OG since winning his second International in 2019.
However, what makes this recent announcement special is that he’s returning as the offlane player of team OG, the role he’s renowned for, rather than another stint at Support.

OG Welcomes Ceb Back To The Offlane
Ceb’s return in 2025 is a saving grace to OG’s crippled state in competitive Dota 2. Since its underwhelming debut of Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon and Yap “xNova” Jian Wei, OG hasn’t accomplished any significant feat with its new roster.
Of course, the other factor why OG is struggling this season is because they have been using stand-in offlane players for most tournaments. With Ceb’s expertise as an offlane player and captain, fans are anticipating OG to return to its glory days under his leadership.
Alongside Ceb’s return was Matthew “Ari” Walker’s departure from the team as the squad’s support player. This was an odd move, especially since Ceb has been playing as the support role recently, so many assumed OG would have replaced Ari for Ceb.
Instead, we are now left to ponder who will be OG’s pos-4 support player with this new line-up.

OG’s 2025 Dota 2 Season
Ceb’s return means OG still means business as an esports org, especially with their new CEO‘s vision. For Ceb, that’s going to be to play in the International 2025 and other major tournaments. On paper, OG’s current Dota 2 line-up has some notable names, like 23savage and xNova, so it’s baffling to see how OG isn’t working out.
Perhaps Ceb’s leadership and role as the team’s motivator are what OG needs to be a formidable powerhouse. Note that OG is competing in Western European Dota 2 scene, where the best teams like Team Falcons, Tundra Esports, Team Liquid and more are staples.
What fans are really hoping for, is Ceb’s offlane skills that brought him all his former glory. However, it would be a challenge to see this work with this new line-up.
