Combat is one of the main elements of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, so you need to master it to be able to have a better experience. However, just learning the fundamentals of combat won’t be enough for you as you will need proper equipment to set foot in battle.

Without proper equipment, even a single strike from a proper weapon can be deadly. So, having good defense gear like shields and armor is necessary. You may not know where to get a decent shield early in the game, so here we will tell you exactly where to find the Von Bergow shield.
Where To Find Von Bergow Shield
Having completed the Fortuna quest, you will have already buried a couple of dead bodies. So, after you have also completed the main quest, Laboratores you will be able to explore the world freely. That is when you should aim to get the Von Bergow Knight Shield.
Having experience with burying dead bodies, you will now have to dig them up. It’s a little messed up, but the rewards are worth it. On the south section of the map, at the location of Fresh Graves, you can find the grave with the desired loot.
You will need a spade in order to dig up the grave. To get one, you can head to the Troskowitz Cemetery to the east of the map. There you can steal a spade, but make sure no one is looking when you do so.
From the village of Troskowitz head to the west and follow the road. After traveling for a bit, you will notice there are two ways to go, so follow the south one.
At the start of the path you will notice there is a shrine, so once you are there head straight and take a left. Then head into the trees and, on the other side, you will notice a giant rock with a grave right next to it. So, upon digging the grave, you will find a dead soldier and the 
Von Bergow Knight Shield
.
The loot you will get from the body will be pretty damaged, so make sure to repair it before using it.
Along with the shield, you will find the following:

Flanged Mace

Crude Padded Coif
-
Worn Gambeson
-
Leather Gloves
So, simply loot everything, and now you have a shield with 263 defense and 25 durability pretty early in the game.
