Before heading out on long and complex story quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you’ll need to stock up on potions to help you out. To craft those potions, you’ll need various herbs and plants that can be found around both of the game’s open world regions.

One of the herbs you’ll need to collect most is nettles. They’re needed in the recipes for a lot of the most useful potions. However, much like all plants in the game, they’re not as easy to find as the game’s codex makes you think.
Where To Pick Nettles
If you head to the crafting tab in the player menu, you’ll find nettles on the list. The description of nettles says you can find them “abundantly by water, at the edge of woods, and in the furrows of fields.” That’s true, but we think you can find them in more reliable locations.
We’ve noticed that a lot of houses have nettles growing around the outside of them. If you head to any town or village in the game, you’ll be able to find nettles by the walls of the buildings. You’ll then be close to where you need to go next, or near an alchemy bench.
If you head to the location in Tachov in the screenshot above, you’ll be able to find nettles growing on the outside of the building.
Where To Buy Nettles
Alternatively, you can buy nettles from any herbalist or apothecary in the game. If you’re in the Trosky region, you can head to Herbalist Barnaby in the northern part of the map to buy nettles. He sells them for just 0.1 Groschen each.
If you’re in Kuttenberg, you can find a herbalist in the market in the middle of the city. Like any vendor, you can only shop with them between the hours of 9am and 6pm in game.
Once you have all of the nettles you need, you can head to a nearby Alchemy Bench to craft whatever potions you need for your adventures.
If you want the nettles you’ve bought or harvested to last longer, be sure to dry them at a drying shed. If you don’t, they’ll go back and be useless pretty quickly.
