Treasure Fleets can be difficult to understand at first, but once players get their first one to spawn, it’ll be smooth sails from then on. Players will only be able to get Treasure Fleets in Civ 7 when they enter the Exploration Age. This Age is all about traveling the sea and reaching unknown lands.
In Distant Lands, gamers will find resources that are unique to these parts of the world, and the most valuable of these resources are known as Treasure Resources. To get Treasure Resources back to the player’s Homeland, they need a Treasure Fleet.
Gamers must follow a few steps if they want to create a Treasure Fleet in Civilization 7. Firstly, they must own a set coastal settlement with a Treasure Resource. On top of that, they must build the Fishing Quay to be able to spawn Treasure Fleets in that settlement.
Players can activate the Continents lens, which is located above their mini-map, to find Distant Lands and make it easier to locate treasure. It’s always best to hover over a resource icon in a Distant Land to check whether it’s considered a Treasure Resource. If so, they can get a Settler or conquer the settlement that owns it to get access to it.

Here, it’ll tell them how long it’ll take for the next Treasure Fleet to spawn. If there is no information on that, it means it won’t produce Treasure Fleets. Once the number of turns passes, a Treasure Fleet will spawn in the water near the settlement’s palace.
Gamers should only attempt this if their settlement is connected to the ocean; if it’s by a lake, the Treasure Fleet will be stuck there and becomes pointless.
To ensure that they’ve done everything the right way, gamers can open the Age Progress screen through the Radial menu and select the Track Progress option in the Economic Legacy Path. This way, the quest will appear on the top right corner of the screen and gamers can easily keep track of what they need to do next to get a Treasure Fleet to spawn in Civ 7.
