With the advent of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, fans were introduced to a new combat mechanic that would become a mainstay in the series for quite some time. The sheer fun players had with executing killstreaks in this game was unmatched.
All players needed to do was nail one combo to take out a group of enemies using Ezio’s superior combat skills. It seemed simple, but killstreaks required some skill to keep going, especially since a single missed attack could lead to the player being pummeled by enemy attacks in quick succession.

Prince Of Persia: The Two Thrones

The Two Thrones attempted to recapture the magic of The Sands of Time while also adapting the melee combat system introduced in Warrior Within. The result is a game with a decent compromise that caters to Prince of Persia fans, even if the title’s writing and length may not be the best.
Thankfully, the fun boss fights and excellent combat system more than make up for it. Permanently using a dagger as a second-hand weapon can take away from the prince’s moveset, but The Two Thrones makes up for it with fun stealth mechanics and excellent platforming that accompanies the game’s tantalizing melee combat.

Using The Wii Remote To Simulate Sword Strikes Makes For A Fun And Immersive Combat System
It’s a shame that many gamers didn’t get their hands on Red Steel 2. It’s one of the few games on the Wii that uses its motion controls properly in combat scenarios, letting players wield a blade and aim a gun to take out their foes across a host of missions.
The melee combat in this game is impressive, with many loving how natural it felt to slash enemies with a sword and tear them apart. This satisfying sword-fighting makes up for some of the game’s leaner parts and ensures that players will be enraptured throughout.

While The Sands of Time had beautiful visuals, engaging gameplay, and great writing that kept fans hooked till the very end, the game suffered from the lack of great combat. This was changed in Warrior Within, where the prince gains access to a massive moveset full of tantalizing combos and dual-wielding attacks.
Players can grab, counter, and vault over their foes to make combat feel even more acrobatic than ever. Using a vertical wall run to unleash a spinning attack or grabbing and choking enemies out is something that countless fans can’t seem to get enough of.
