Let’s Get Boogie Woogie With It
This Underrated Cursed Technique Is Insanely Strong
Boogie Woogie is one of the most unique cursed techniques and, combined with Todo’s tactical intellect, makes it even more powerful. Known for his combat abilities, Todo is an unpredictable opponent in battle and his ability to use Boogie Woogie to swap positions with anything or anyone imbued with cursed energy is an effective tactical attack to confuse an opponent.
This means he can not only switch places with comrades but also with enemies and objects. One of the biggest advantages is that this cursed technique does not require contact with a target to execute, and the object or being just needs to contain cursed energy.
There is also no pattern to use Boogie Woogie, all Todo needs to do is clap his hands and he can immediately switch places. He can also fake a clap and not active Boogie Woogie, further confusing an opponent. This unpredictability also makes it harder for an opponent to counter his attacks. Todo is also able to swap people with a cursed tool, this is seen during the fight with Hanami as Todo is able to swap out Yuji for the weapon known as Playful Cloud and use the weapon to land powerful attacks on Hanami.
Todo also continuously swaps places with Yuji during the battle, to execute multiple heavy blows on Hanami. This tactical use of Boogie Woogie was an effective use here, as Yuji was able to attack Hanami with Black Flash, three times in a row. During the Shibuya Incident Arc, Todo also uses Boogie Woogie to keep up with the powerful cursed spirit, Mahito.

Does Boogie Woogie Come With Its Own Disadvantages?
One of the main disadvantages of Boogie Woogie is that it requires both hands to activate and the clapping of both hands. If Todo looses his arm, he will be unable to activate this cursed technique, leaving him vulnerable. This is seen during his battle against Mahito, Todo loses his arm, which means Boogie Woogie becomes disabled. However, using his tactical intelligence, Todo slaps Mahito’s hand and switches places with Yuji for him to land an attack. Another disadvantage is that to switch places with an object or person, they need to be imbued with cursed energy. This means he is unable to switch between ordinary and non-cursed people or things.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Yuji Itadori’s Three Most Important Moments, Explained
Itadori has had some important mentors and allies across the JJK series. These 3 are the most impactful ones.
While Boogie Woogie is an unpredictable attack, powerful opponents are able to see through this attack if it is overused. They are able to counter this but attack as soon as Todo claps, so swapping places does not give Todo the advantage. Some powerful opponents are able to time and anticipate when Todo is going to clap by just experiencing it a few times. Boogie Woogie is also not a direct hit cursed technique and does not harm an opponent directly. The damage is inflicted based on Todo’s tactical thinking and the way he times his claps to get the upper hand on an opponent. Boogie Woogie is also ineffective against opponents who don’t need to move to execute an attack, this means opponents who have powerful wide-range attacks.
