The Zabrak archer Nox is now available to Star Wars: Hunters players through a Starter Pack on Switch and mobile devices. After a soft launch in certain territories and multiple delays, prolific mobile developers Zynga and Natural Motion launched Star Wars: Hunters on the Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS devices last June. More recently, the game was released on Steam in Early Access on January 27, following two PC playtests.

Star Wars: Hunters is a free-to-play multiplayer arena shooter set sometime after the fall of the Galactic Empire at the end of Star Wars Episode 6: Return of the Jedi. It offers players a rich cast of Star Wars: Hunters characters inspired by the classic character archetypes of the Star Wars universe, including lightsaber-and-Force-wielding Jedi and Sith, former Imperial Stormtroopers, Mandalorian warriors, and even Utooni – a pair of Jawas stacked on top of one another. Like other hero-based titles like Marvel Rivals and Overwatch, each of these characters has their own unique weapons and abilities to help players gain the edge in battle.

Star Wars: Hunters Could Be Sitting On a Goldmine of Future Content

Star Wars: Hunters, the recently-released free-to-play arena shooter from Zynga, has a lot of untapped potential in one major area.

As shown in a recent Star Wars: Hunters trailer, the Zabrak Assassin Nox is now available to all players as part of the new Nox Starter Pack for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. This horned killer-for-hire is a Star Wars: Hunters Damage character armed with a bow and arrows, which she uses to train herself as she vows revenge against the mysterious group that kidnapped her sister. In addition to her archery skills, Nox is an expert with poisons, using special arrows and a remote device to infect her opponents with dangerous gasses. She also comes equipped with rocket boots to hover short distances.

New Nox Content Pack is Available in Star Wars: Hunters

Nox was previously released as part of Star Wars: Hunters Season 4, which added a wealth of other new content for people who own the All Access Arena Pass. This includes a new map set on the forest moon of Endor, where the final battle between the evil Empire and heroic Rebel Alliance took place, and a new game mode called Scrap Salvage, in which players have to race to collect the most Scrap from fallen opponents. Players could also unlock new Star Wars: Hunters characters like Nox through the Hunter’s Path, which lets players earn special tokens during battles.

So far, Star Wars: Hunters has been met with a mixed reception, earning a 60 on OpenCritic on release. Despite this, the game has a decent following, and Zynga has plans to continue supporting Star Wars: Hunters with additional content. Season 5, subtitled “Scum and Villainy,” recently introduced another new character in Glikkin, a masked Kubaz thief with the ability to sneak past the competition with a cloaking device.
