A recent leak from Honkai: Star Rail is suggesting that one of the game’s most popular classes will not be receiving a new roster member in Amphoreus. The launch of Honkai: Star Rail‘s fourth fully exploreable world has already brought plenty of major new changes to the game with its initial cast of characters. The release of Aglaea and the newest Trailblazer variant officially introduced Remembrance as a playable Path, with more Remembrance characters expected to be on the way. Now, a powerful fan-favorite class may be missing throughout the Amphoreus cycle.
While Paths have often been used to define a character’s role within a team comp, several recent Honkai: Star Rail characters have looked to break the mold of their Paths. The Nihility Path has produced several powerful DPS characters from the debuff-focused class, with Acheron remaining one of the game’s most popular damage characters. Destruction has also become a common choice for many players looking for a DPS unit, featuring beloved characters like Firefly and Yunli. However, new leaks are suggesting that fans of the Hunt Path may be waiting a while for their next new roster addition.

Honkai: Star Rail Leak Suggests No Hunt Characters in Amphoreus
A new leak shared by Honkai: Star Rail leaker “Uncle Jtt5CPW” is suggesting a major absence from Honkai: Star Rail‘s Amphoreus lineup. According to the leak, Honkai: Star Rail‘s Amphoreus cycle will not feature a single character from the Hunt Path as part of its new character releases. The change would come as the single-target DPS-focused Path has not seen a new addition to the game’s roster since the release of Feixiao in Version 2.5. The Hunt received four new characters throughout Penacony’s cycle, with Moze, Boothill, and March 7th’s Hunt variant alongside Feixiao.
The absence of any Hunt characters from Amphoreus’ release cycle would join an increasing shift towards AoE damage with its newer characters. The Herta brought a major upgrade for teams focused around the Erudition Path, with much of her kit focused around AoE damage and benefitting other AoE units. The Herta also features a unique Trace granting her allies a massive 80% boost to her teammates’ Crit DMG when she is paired with other Erudition characters.
While the future is uncertain for The Hunt characters in Amphoreus, HoYoverse has already begun to tease the next additions to the game’s roster. Version 3.1 will welcome two more important characters from Amphoreus’ early story to the game, with Mydei and Tribbie set to join the playable cast. Tribbie is particularly expected to be a unique addition to Star Rail, with the Harmony character leaked to feature gameplay more focused on damage than support. While The Hunt may be lacking from Amphoreus’ lineup, Honkai: Star Rail looks to continue to introduce unconventional new options to players’ teams.
