A case that quickly became viral was Mewtwo ex, one of the most talked about cards at the game’s launch. The card has 150 HP and strong abilities that deal 50 (Psychic Sphere) and 150 (Psydrive) damage points. As well as being a heavy hitter, Mewtwo ex became a nightmare for beginner players due to its sizeable health pool. After that, the Celebi ex Serperior deck became a hit, offering a powerful synergy between the two cards introduced in the Mythical Island mini-set.

Pokemon TCG Pocket Leak Teases Upcoming Event
A new Pokemon TCG Pocket leak is shared, and it brings good news for players who still need some of the game’s most coveted cards.
This time, players are speaking up about the Darkrai ex deck. One of these community members is Redditor Kroanon96, who shared a screenshot of a PvP battle in which their opponent uses the deck. Its key cards are Darkrai ex and Magnezone, two additions from the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, and Druddigon, another card from Mythic Island. Several comments agreed with the poster, expressing outrage at the deck’s apparent imbalance, with some saying it’s “annoying and consistent,” and “the most toxic and sweaty deck in the game today.”
What Makes Darkrai Ex Deck a Nightmare for Pokemon TCG Pocket Players
Living up to its association with nightmares, Darkrai ex became a popular Pokemon TCG Pocket card because of its 140 HP, passive damage with its Nightmare Aura ability, and hard-hitting Dark Prism ability. Magnezone comes in as a damage-focused card capable of inflicting 110 damage with Thunderblast, and if necessary, it can take a few shots due to its 140 HP. Druddigon works in this deck as a tank because of its Rough Skin ability: when the Pokemon is hit, the opponent receives 20 damage in return. As such, this deck stands out for its ability to deal damage over time while its strong defenses keep it in play.
While Darkrai ex has become one of the strongest decks of the moment, it’s not the first time especially powerful cards have dominated the meta. Cyrus is another strong Pokemon TCG Pocket card that, although it performs the same function as the popular Sabrina card, stands out by allowing the player to choose a card to replace the opponent’s active Pokemon slot. Another standout card is Articuno ex which has been given a new lease on life with the introduction of Pokemon tool cards.
