Even though Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 only just released on Steam, a talented modder has already added Spidey’s previously infamous suit from Marvel Rivals into the game.
Spider-Man 2’s arrival on Steam last week might not have been received quite as well as PlayStation hoped for such a massive title, but it has opened up a very exciting door for modders. Both the first Spider-Man and Miles Morales were absolute havens for modders and that looks to already be true for the sequel as well.

In the past week alone, mods have popped up to fix two issues fans had with the sequel, such as Peter Parker’s new face model and Miles Morales’ haircut. As interesting as those two are, though, the most exciting mods of all for the real Spidey fans are the ones that add suits to the game that Insomniac never got around to.
Spider-Man’s Marvel Rivals Suit Has Been Added To Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 By Fans
Perhaps the best example of the potential that Spider-Man 2 has when it comes to suit mods is one that brings the most talked-about and recent of Peter Parker’s many, many costumes. I am, of course, talking about his suit from Marvel Rivals, which started off divisive but eventually worked its way to being loved after some tweaks.
Nexus Mods creator xXdakeXx has clearly seen the cries for Peter’s unique Rivals suit to make its way into other Spider-Man games, as that’s exactly what they’ve done with the “Spider-Man from Marvel Rivals” mod. As the name suggests, the mod brings the bright and sporty suit into the world of Spider-Man 2.
Despite being fan-made, the suit looks remarkably close to an official creation and is pretty spot-on to how Spidey looks in Marvel Rivals. The only big downside to the mod is that the Rivals suit is replacing perhaps the best Spider-Man suit in the game – the one from The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
If you can get over that cruel replacement (or if an update eventually lets you change which suit is swapped), then xXdakeXx’s mod is sure to be a big hit on Nexus Mods. I’m sure we’ll all be looking back at it fondly when Spider-Man 3 rolls around and we get the official thing from the get-go.
