In a recent post on Reddit, onikatanyamaraaj stated that Scarlet Witch’s ultimate, Reality Erasure, is “designed to fail.” To support this argument, they pointed out several weaknesses. When the ability is activated, Scarlet Witch begins to yell and a red exclamation point appears, alerting the enemy team to impending danger. This makes it difficult to be sneaky, as foes can easily track the hero’s movements, even in the middle of a chaotic situation. Furthermore, Scarlet Witch remains susceptible to stuns and other crowd control attacks, allowing her to be interrupted easily. She also doesn’t receive any bonus health or shields when performing Reality Erasure, which stands in stark contrast to heroes like Hela and Winter Soldier, who receive buffs when using their ultimate. In addition, heroes like Marvel Rivals’ Doctor Strange and Magneto also have the ability to nullify the attack with their shield abilities.
