One of the most fun things about Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is that Henry’s actions might trigger certain sub-quests and side activities. During their quest to find Mutt (Henry’s loyal dog companion), they will ally themselves with a group of shepherds that are suffering from a dire wolf problem. If players have already completed the Sheep Among Wolves guest, then the next step would be to target the Lost Sheep side quest.
Finding the missing sheep to help the shepherds can be quite problematic, since it will require finding environmental clues that indicate the position of a prized sheep. But, doing that in the middle of the woods plagued with wolves can be complicated. Here’s a full guide on The Lost Sheep, including the exact location of the sheep carcass and how to deal with the wolves.

How To Start The Lost Sheep Quest In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
To start The Lost Sheep Quest, players need to find Shepherd Smolyek, who is located northwest of Zhelejov. Once you reach his herd, you can spot him guarding the sheep on a hill near a tree. Upon talking to him, he will reveal that a pack of wolves has been harassing his sheep and that his boss’ favorite sheep has been missing for a few days.
This will mean that Henry needs to help him find the beast, and at least take proof of the animal’s demise with him; namely, an ear with the mark of the shepherd.

Tips For Completing The Lost Sheep Quest
This quest can be complicated for two reasons. The first one is related to the terrain that players need to explore: a thick forest, full of fallen trees, hills, and, of course, wolves that can pop out of nowhere.
The second reason is that there’s no exact marker to point where the sheep is, so players need to follow the wolves, fight their way through the terrain, and figure out where the sheep is. In the video below, it takes around 8 minutes to find the wolves. They were mostly attracted by the noise made by hunting animals, so they started howling, making it easier to locate them.
Players can also use the Houndmaster Perk Heightened Scent to pick the location of the wolves faster. This perk allows Mutt to sniff out enemies and other wild animals at a much greater distance.
It is also a good idea to have Buck’s Blood and Painkiller Brew on hand, since wolves attack in packs and try to injure Henry to weaken him. Mind the bleeding, and use Mutt’s attack command (Sic’ Em) to isolate targets and eliminate them faster. Try blocking attacks when wolves jump at Henry, because that’s a great way to counter their pack tactics.
The Lost Sheep is located right over a hill, near the quest marker, but a little bit more to the right side. Once players have dealt with the wolves around it, they can butcher the lamb to collect the ear and go back to Smolyek for their rewards, which include a Lucky Dice, one of the best cheating tools to win bets and multiply Henry’s Gold.
