- But don’t celebrate yet, as fans have taken aim at the costume chosen for Toji, with some calling it “lazy.”
- Toji’s iconic look with the tight-fitting shirt and cursed worm is not in the game.
- Rather, his look with the white sweater and black pants is something which fans are none too pleased with.
On Friday, Fortnite revealed the next part of its collaboration with the popular Shōnen Jump anime, Jujutsu Kaisen, including three new skins. Via the Killer Curses Bundle, central antagonist Ryomen Sukuna, along with Mahito and Toji Fushiguro are now in the game. They join Satoru Gojo, Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushigoro and Nobara Kugisaki, who were all added in 2023.
Normally, that would be a cause for celebration, particularly as Fortnite continues to expand its anime reach. However, avid Jujutsu Kaisen fans are not having any of it, with many taking aim at the outfit choice for Toji.

This Isn’t The Toji Fans Were Hoping For
For background, when it comes to Toji Fushiguro, he has two looks in the anime. His original and arguably most iconic look sees him with a tight-fitting black shirt, loose baggy pants, and most importantly, a cursed spirit wrapped around his body.
His second appearance, which the Fortnite bundle is based around, has him ditch all of that for a white sweater and black pants. It goes without saying that fans were hoping for his original look.
Over on Reddit’s Fortnite subreddit, multiple fans have called out Epic Games for what they deem a “lazy” release. “Yeah they really fumbled with his skin,” one user wrote. “They messed up so bad,” another user chimed in.
Normally, this type of issue could be mitigated with an “Edit Style” option. However, according to players, there is no such option for Toji. “Massive missed opportunity there,” a user wrote in part. “The worm as a backbling with your pickaxe coming out of it would have been an instant cop. Inverted spear of heaven would have been such a cool pickaxe too.”
The rest of the threads are filled with similar sentiments, making it clear that fans had other ideas in mind for what Toji should’ve looked like. Ultimately, only time will tell whether Fortnite issues a revision, “Edit Style” or an updated separate Toji character.
