VCT Pacific Kickoff 2025: DRX Vs T1 Esports Match Predictions
The VCT Pacific Kickoff Grand Final will be a best-of-5 series. Two of the most significant Korean VALORANT Teams will face off.
First, we have DRX, the rising star team from this circuit. For the 2025 season, they added free1ng and the young duelist HYUNMIN. Both additions have been helpful to DRX, as they have gone on to win against the likes of Gen G and T1 both during VCT Pacific Kickoff 2025.
On the other hand, we have T1, the “Korean Super Team” with the likes of stax, BuZz, Meteor, and iZu in their roster. During the VCT Pacific Kickoff, T1 won all their matches against the likes of Boom Esports, Talon Esports, Paper Rex and Gen.G. The only team they couldn’t best was DRX.
Both teams are very close in relative strength, and their previous series went the distance with all maps being nail-biters until the very end.

There is no real clear favorite going into this game. DRX do come in as the upper seed and already won the previous duel, but it’s too close to call them clear favorites. One point to note is that T1 has faced off against DRX five times and has lost each match. But this year has also been a year of change for T1. In their last game against Paper Rex, they secured their first win in over three years against them.
Furthermore, both teams have shown increased synergy between their rosters after each match. DRX has the advantage here because they have seen T1 play seventeen maps, and already won on Lotus and Fracture against them, albeit in close rounds. However, we are going into a best-of-five series and I expect all five maps to be played.
My call is a 3-2 score line and a win for DRX.

At the start of 2025, VALORANT introduced a new agent named Tejo. He is an initiator from the country of Columbia, known in the community as one of the most overpowered agents in the game. Before VCT Pacific began, VALORANT announced that the agent would be legally used during the tournament. During this tournament, the agent has been played on all available maps besides Haven.
One player who has been making the most of Tejo during this tournament is the rookie from DRX, free1ng. The Koreans have only used Tejo during this entire tournament. In both games of DRX, he ended the game with the most kills. In the match against Nongshim Redforce, he ended the game with a KDA of 58/44/13 and an ADR of 151.
If there were one player to watch from T1, it would be BuZz. The ace duelist has been in top form during this entire tournament. During the tournament, he has played agents like Raze, Yoru, and Neon, who many still consider overpowered. T1 prefers to play with a double initiator team. This gives them multiple methods for entering the site and disrupting the defense, giving BuZz many opportunities to dash onto sites and get the first kill on the rounds.
DRX prefers a similar double initiator composition but one centered around Tejo. They have used agents like Sova, Fade, and Kay/0 to help gather information. Following this, Tejo can push away the enemies from the angles they might be holding at a given point during the match.
It won’t be a shocker to see DRX continue using Tejo on all maps during the VCT Pacfic Kickoff Grand Finals.
From the non-general betting markets, I would single out the following selections:
- Total Rounds (every map) – Over 23.5
- Winning margin – 2-4 rounds
- Maps (Odd/Even) – Odd
