Deliverance 2 Breaks Its Concurrent Player Record

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has surpassed its peak concurrent player count on Steam as it enters its first weekend since launch. The record now sits at 233,586 players online at once on Steam alone.

This record could very well be broken once again over the weekend, as there are 214,873 people playing on Steam at the time of writing. With this in mind, it’s safe to say that this long-awaited sequel is a smash hit, and is also reviewing well with fans and critics alike.

The sequel’s concurrent player record is growing almost every day

This new record of 233,586 fans playing on Steam at once was set just hours ago, and could rise even further, as Sundays are incredibly busy on the platform. We’re still waiting to see where Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 peaks, as the concurrent player count has kept rising since its launch on February 4.

This is all despite a vocal minority calling for a boycott in response to the revelation that it’s possible to romance another man in the game. The developers have said that they want nothing to do with this entire debate, but the outrage has continued to pour in on social media. However, it seems that this outrage doesn’t exactly represent most gamers, since the game is performing just fine.

In fact, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is currently the fifth most popular game on Steam, and the the most popular single-player title, since it only sits behind Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Marvel Rivals, and a GTA 5 multiplayer mod.
