The second-ever title from Czech developer Warhorse Studios hit the market on February 4. The game sustained its momentum in the days following its launch, leading the Steam Top Sellers chart for six consecutive days as of February 9. Further proof of its success comes from SteamDB user data, which shows that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has set a new daily concurrent player record every day for the past week. Most recently, the open-world RPG peaked at 256,206 concurrent players on Valve’s platforms in the afternoon hours (ET) on February 9. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 May Be Nearing 2 Million Sales

Warhorse Studios Creative Director Daniel Vávra previously confirmed that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 sold 1 million copies in its first 24 hours on the market, thus immediately breaking even. According to an average of estimates from Gamalytic, PlayTracker, and VG Insights, the game’s sales are in the ballpark of 890,000 on Steam alone as of February 9. Since PC sales typically account for no more than half of AAA game sales, it’s plausible that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is already close to selling 2 million copies.

Warhorse Studios has recently detailed its post-launch support plans that aim to help its latest title maintain its commercial momentum in the near future. The Czech company plans to deliver three paid DLC packs for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the first of which—called Brushes with Death—will arrive in summer 2025. This release will be followed by Legacy of the Forge and Mysteria Ecclesia, planned to arrive in fall and winter 2025, respectively.

Before any of these paid expansions hit the market, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will receive a big free update that introduces a horse racing mini-game, Hardcore mode, and a barber feature. This content drop is currently planned to materialize sometime in spring 2025.
