How To Get A Genie Lamp

Building enthusiasm in a hobby has more than just career benefits. If your sim is enthusiastic enough, you may even find a dusty old lamp left outside your door. Rubbing this lamp will bring forth a genie!

The genie will grant three wishes, and you’ll need to choose carefully. Be warned that the genie may trick you or play with fate, so any wish you make may backfire. Below are the wishes you can make and the consequences of them:

While the chances of getting the dusty old lamp are incredibly small, it’s not impossible–nor is it a once-in-a-lifetime event!

Wish

Consequences

Give Me Wealth

On success: A large bag containing 10,000 Simoleons appears. Money will continue to rain down over time, up to a total of 22,000 Simoleons.

On fail: No money appears, but there’s a higher chance of burglary

Give Me Beauty

On success: Acts like a love potion, making the sim more attractive for several days.

On fail: Sims will constantly ring your doorbell.

Give Me A Long Life

On success: Adds four days to a sim’s life.

On fail: Shortens a sim’s life by three hours.

Give Me Power To Cheat Death

On success: Allows the wishing sim to beg for their own life upon death. This can be done multiple times, but the chance of failure increases with each success.

On fail: The wishing sim won’t be able to save themselves from death, and you won’t know until it’s time to go.

Give Me Peace Of Mind

On success: Your sim receives a permanent Platinum mood.

On fail: Things around the house will break often, lowering their mood regulary.

You can also ask the genie to resurrect a deceased loved one, though they may come back as a zombie if the genie is in a foul mood.
