Where to Find Starfish in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Where to Find Starfish in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Resources in Hello Kitty Island Adventure don’t spawn exclusively on the land. Once you get the ability to swim and dive, you’ll find ocean resources such as starfish. Starfish aren’t used as often in crafting plans like seashells or coral milk, but you’re going to need to collect a fair amount in order to get a new tool. Fortunately, they tend to spawn in the same area, making them somewhat easier to find.

The Volcano Critter List location is easy enough to find in Hello Kitty Island Adventure – but to break the Boulder, you’ll need a special tool.

Starfish Locations in Island Adventure

Starfish spawn in Rainbow Reef, specifically in and around the ruins circling Comedy Hall. You can swim down the path behind Comedy Hall to find visitor cabins. Look at the nearby pillars and you might find some starfish.

They won’t spawn on coral (like coral milk) or on the Rainbow Reef road (like pieces of trash or seashells); they only spawn on rocks and pillars. You can keep warping back and forth to the Comedy Hall Mailbox if you stray too far from the starfish-spawning areas.

If you look at Rainbow Reef on your map, you should search near the dark blue “paths” for starfish.

You can’t collect starfish until you’ve crafted the Snorkel item. You can get its crafting plan by starting the “Deep Diving” friendship quest, which unlocks when Kuromi is level 6. It’s also recommended that you have 1-2 Stamina Apples before you begin your search.

Which Crafting Plans Require Starfish?

Starfish are used in two crafting plans, one of which is the Bubble Wand. The other crafting plan that uses starfish is the Gift Box item.

The Bubble Wand is a tool you’ll unlock during the “Magic Bubble Wand” quest with Hangyodon. Using it allows you to catch underwater critters for the Reef Critter room at the Nature Preserve. Getting the quest with the Bubble Wand requires you to complete several quests beforehand:

  • “Finding Flippers” (Keroppi, Level 1)
  • “Open the Nature Preserve” (Keroppi, Level 2)
  • “Bring Back the Swing” (Pekkle, Level 5)
  • “Deep Diving” (Kuromi, Level 6)
  • “Comic Relief” (Hangyodon, Level 6)
  • “Enraging Ruins (Retsuko, Level 7)

After you’ve retrieved the Bubble Wand Plans from the treasure chests near Sunken Ship, Hot Springs, and in Crystal Cave, you should speak to Chococat near the Resort Gate to get the finalized crafting plans for the Bubble Wand.
