From what we’ve seen and heard of Super Nintendo World so far, it looks like it’s going to be basically the same as the one in Universal Studios Japan, which is a step ahead of the one in LA since it has the Donkey Kong Country area. It does seem that Epic Universe’s version of the land will have at least one interesting detail to make it stand out, though.

As reported by GameXplain, Twitter user bioreconstruct recently shared an aerial photo that’s supposed to show the lighting of the Warp Pipe portal into Super Nintendo World. While that lighting does look great, fans were quick to point out that there’s an even more interesting detail to be spotted within the image.

If you look at the bottom right of the image, you’ll see the Epic Universe version of the Nintendo Super Star Store, which seems to be mostly constructed. That store uniquely has some stained glass murals of the Nintendo characters featured in Super Nintendo World, with Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong visible in the photo.

Right next to Donkey Kong is a mural featuring what appears to be the Skyward Sword version of The Legend of Zelda’s Link. This is interesting because Zelda as a series isn’t represented within Super Nintendo World at all just yet and the items in the store are usually themed around characters within the world.

While it could just be a nice reference to one of Nintendo’s biggest series, it does seem more likely that it’s a hint towards things to come. Super Nintendo World has already been expanded with Donkey Kong, so it makes sense that another big franchise would act as the next expansion in its future.
