Red Dead Redemption 2: All Signature Guns of the Van der Linde Gang
The Van der Linde gang in Red Dead Redemption 2 all have distinct personalities and desires, which are somewhat represented by their guns.
There are countless hidden areas in Red Dead Redemption 2 that most players might have missed in their playthrough as Arthur Morgan. With so many areas to explore, it’s no surprise that some more obscure areas were unknown to players until now, which may warrant a second playthrough in Red Dead Redemption 2.

The Mountaintop Monk
A Monk Who Took a Vow of Silence Can Be Fun to Pester
- Location: Between the ‘G’ and ‘R’ of Grizzlies East
In the mountain range of the Grizzlies East, players can find a lonely bald man sitting on the peak of a mountain, meditating on the wondrous views before him. While his silence shows his dedication to the beauty of the natural world, Arthur or John can quickly hop off their horse and go over to say hello, again, and again, with the monk turning around each and every time.
While this silent monk will never speak or fight back, it’s quite a fun sight to take in as the outlaw spends his day truly pestering the monk for a scornful scowl from over his shoulder. Considering it’s high up in the mountains, most might have never met this secluded and meditating monk.

The Devil’s Lair
The Cave Hermit Hides His Past But Tells His Hatred of Companionship
- Location: West of Hanging Dog Ranch
Following the West wall of West Elizabeth and Hanging Dog Ranch, players will eventually stumble upon the entrance of a rather ominous cave. Be sure to bring a light, as this dark cave will extend with many twists and turns, until eventually, players will find the shooing voice of a man who beckons Arthur Morgan to leave, before ultimately revealing himself as… the Devil!
He’s rather quick to admit that he isn’t evil incarnate, and he has just fashioned his clothes and his hair to look like a devil. The cave hermit is just a man who wants to be alone and live in his cave, but what’s interesting about him is how he lives his life. How is he so plump if he just lives in a cave with no gluttonous appetite? He doesn’t look like a hunter, nor does he look like a man fit to survive in the harsh wilderness.

The Saint Denis Smuggler Tunnel
The Smuggling Tunnel By the Cornwall Freight Yard Offers the Perfect Escape Route
- Location: Underneath the Cornwall Freight Yard in Saint Denis
If Arthur ever needs to evade the law, he can find safe passage through a small tunnel in Saint Denis by the Cornwall Freight Yard. While there’s nothing actually inside this tunnel, it’s still a secret area that many players might not have discovered due to the size of Saint Denis, and how their focus isn’t going to be concentrated on a shipping yard.

The smuggler tunnel could have been used for all manners of criminal activity, and it has since been abandoned. While no lore is known about the tunnel, it’s a nice place to evade the law and a great place to bring in unsuspecting victims for robbing and killing.

Old Tomb
The Final Resting Place of a Viking
- Location: South of Roanoke Valley
South of Roanoke Valley within the trees, players might just stumble upon an old burial ground for a Viking, known as a point of interest called the Old Tomb. This ancient burial site has a center altar where players can find a few things, like the Viking Hatchet, Viking Helmet, and the Ancient Viking Comb, and some players might not have grabbed all of these items.
It’s a truly strange sight to behold, and some players might have missed it due to its obscure location in the woods, and how most will try to avoid New Hanover’s Roanoke area due to the murderous Murfree gang that will lurk and stalk in the area.

Zombie Well
The Interior of a Well That Shows a Dead Man Walking
- Location: South of Mazinata Post
South of West Elizabeth and Manzanita Post, players can come across an abandoned set of cabins at Bearclaw Camp, where in the center lies a well that can be climbed down thanks to a ladder. While inside the well, players might have their eyes drawn to the lockbox that has a bit of cash for them, it’s inside the well that a greater fear will swell.

The identity of Jack Marston’s real father has been a hotly debated theory for years in the Red Dead Redemption community, but who are the suspects?
Those who enter the well can look at the face of their character to see it almost zombified and scarred, looking pale and ghoulish like this is a dead man walking. While it’s highly debated if this is an easter egg or a visual glitch, it’s worth checking it out to see what you think.

The Occult Cabin in Butcher Creek
A Glowing Red Pentagram Haunts Butcher Creek
- Location: Furthest shack on the East of Butcher Creek at 2 AM
Butcher Creek isn’t the friendliest of places in New Hanover, and those who have made this place their home are often mutated and mentally unwell enough to stay as recluses who do not like outsiders. While the small village of hillbillies often keep to themselves and believe that their homes are cursed, Arthur can actually aid them by showing how it’s just their tainted water.
Yet, there may be more to the curse than first realized, as if players venture to the North East cabin in Butcher Creek at 2 AM, they can see a glowing pentagram from underneath the burned shack. Many questions remain unsolved about the origins of the pentagram, or its purpose, but it’s a secret many haven’t found in their own playthrough.

Marko Dragic’s Robot’s Final Resting Place
The Automaton Laments on His Father’s Death On A Snowy Hill
- Location: West of Colter in Ambarino
Marko Dragic wasn’t exactly the sanest man in all of science, but he was quite the genius who managed to invent a living robot. Dragic’s invention would be his undoing, as new life is gifted to the robot boy, Dragic can be found dead in his labs just days later, with the robot nowhere near his father’s side.
Instead, players can venture just West of Colter to find a mountaintop, where Marko Dragic’s robot will sit in grief, watching the views as he rusts away for years. The robot says nothing but Papa, lamenting on the death of his dear old dad, but what thoughts lurk inside, no one can ever know.

Madame Irene
The Mechanical and Abandoned Fortune Teller
- Location: East of Manzanita Post
Taking a ride through West Elizabeth, players can head to Manzanita Post where a destroyed stagecoach might take John Marston’s eye. Venturing inside, players can punch the mechanical machine of Madame Irene the fortune teller to hear her ominous words of wisdom.
While Madame Irene is nothing to be scared of, she is indeed quite the rare find considering most players might not think to approach her and punch her glass cabinet to activate her. The fortunes she tells are usually related to the character she speaks to, regarding their health, cores, and hairstyle.
