  • GTA Online and Grand Theft Auto 5 continue to sell incredibly well as fans patiently wait for the next entry.

Despite being over a decade old, Grand Theft Auto 5 players are still finding new and innovative ways to complete epic stunt jumps in the game’s multiplayer mode, GTA Online. While Grand Theft Auto 5 fans are patiently waiting for Rockstar’s next big release, GTA Online continues to thrive with new updates and plenty of content for players to discover. Despite the game being filled with heists, races, missions, and more, many players are still filling their time the good old-fashioned way: stunt jumps.

Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online ushered in a new era for the series back in 2013 and are still continuing to thrive all these years later. During a recent quarterly earnings call at Take-Two Interactive – the parent company of Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar Games – the studio announced that Grand Theft Auto 5 had passed another incredible sales milestone. The smash hit title has now surpassed 210 million copies sold, firmly planting its position as the second best-selling video game of all time. Although not quite on the same pace as Grand Theft Auto 5, Red Dead Redemption 2 also continues to sell well, with 70 million copies sold to date.

The size of content that can be potentially transferred from RDR2 to GTA 6 is quite small, although the former’s hunting system could be a fun match.

Grand Theft Auto 5 Player Pulls Off Incredible Stunt

While the excruciatingly long wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 is beginning to test fans’ patience, there are still plenty of players passing the time in the hugely successful GTA Online. In a new post in the GTA subreddit, user ErenJaeger_07 showed a ridiculously impressive stunt pulled off with the help of a few friends in GTA Online. The clip, which can be seen below, shows a player speeding their way up the highway just before the bridge toward Fort Zancudo. They then veer right into a small mound and appear to be heading straight into the ocean. But, like something straight out of Fast and Furious, the player is saved by not just one, but two jets. The user called it “absolute cinema,” and many other players agreed.

Grand Theft Auto Online allows players to entertain themselves through various means, whether it be breaking into Fort Zancudo and attempting to escape a five-star wanted level, or pulling off wild stunt jumps like the one seen above. However, Rockstar still continues to update GTA Online regularly, despite it now being over a decade old. The latest patch to be released was back in December and was dubbed as the “Agents of Sabotage” update. The free update brought a new Garment Factory business, Terrorbyte enhancements, brand-new vehicles, and much more to the world of GTA Online.

Although fans are still loving GTA Online, the community is growing impatient when it comes to the studio’s next big project, Grand Theft Auto 6. The highly anticipated title was first revealed back in December 2023, but Rockstar has remained silent ever since. Grand Theft Auto 6 is due to launch in Fall 2025, but with no news on the title in over a year, many fans are beginning to believe that a delay is imminent. Thankfully, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick recently reaffirmed the Fall release window once again and said that the studio remains confident, but did admit that slippage is entirely possible.
