Demons of Trosky is perhaps one of the most annoying but fun quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and players will have to scour far and wide around Trosky Castle to complete it. On the bright side, this will make sure they will familiarize themselves with the Castle’s Layout in case they need to complete other quests in the future.
To make sure players can find all the fireplaces and banish all the demons properly, here’s a full walkthrough of the quest, including the locations for each fireplace and what to do with the secondary objective task. Grab that Holy Water, and prepare to do God’s Work.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – Where To Get A Shield
Shields are necessary to use along with any one-handed weapon in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2; here’s where to get an early one for free.
How to Start Demons of Trosky In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
To start the quest, Henry should talk to Chamberlain Ulrich, who is slowly recovering from his stomach ulcer (if players helped him during For Whom The Bells Toll Main Quest), so he has plenty of ‘delayed work.’ One of such tasks is to investigate the apparition of demons that are roaming about the Castle, souring the milk, leaving scratch marks, and eating the Coal: the usual demonic shenanigans.
Ulrich will let the players pick between two different “demon-banishing” potions. None of these matter much, and there seems to be no difference depending on the players’ choice.
If players want to complete this quest, they must speak to the two Cooks, Bertha and Manyeta, and to the Blacksmith Orsa, who are the witnesses of the demons appearing in the castle.
Start by talking to Manyeta, who will describe how the devils come around the castle, scratching and scaring everyone. Plus, leaving a bad smell all around the cellar and pantry. She says that to banish all demons, Henry needs to pour the Potion or Holy Water around the fireplaces in the Crone Side of Trosky Castle. Let’s return to this later and speak to the other witnesses first.
Next, going outside the courtyard, turn left and speak to Orsa on his smithy, and he will direct players to one of the sides of the castle walls to start investigating where the demons are getting into the Castle. Needless to say, this is a secondary objective that will be better addressed later after players speak to the third and final witness: Bertha.
She can be found climbing the stairs over the Bath House, right next to the blacksmith. Talking to her will reveal more about the inappropriate behavior of these pesky demons, who seem to be leaving droppings and hair all over her kitchen.
Leaving aside Henry’s suspicions of a massive rat infection in the castle, Bertha will have players sprinkle the demon-banishing potion around the Maiden’s side in the fireplaces of the building. She also suggests players do this at midnight, and since there’s a chance to trigger some ‘restricted area’ warnings from the annoyed residents of Trosky Castle, this seems to be a good idea.
Next, let’s check all the fireplaces on the Crone’s side of Trosky Castle since players will be there after speaking to Bertha, and sprinkle some holy waters over them.
Demons of Trosky – All Crone Fireplace Locations
The first fireplace is right next to Bertha, so approach until an interaction prompt pops up that says ‘Sprinkle.’ Wait until Henry is done with the ritual and proceed to the next fireplace, which will be located in a room on the floor above the kitchen.
Climb the stairs in the back, then turn left, looking at the wall. Open the door, and the fireplace will be on the left side of the room. Remember this place, as it is the room that connects to the bridge leading to the Maiden side of Trosky Castle.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – Where To Find Nettle
Nettle is an important Alchemy ingredient in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Here’s where players can find it.
The next Fireplaces might trigger some ‘restricted zone’ warnings, so tread carefully. Climb the stairs past the second, into the third floor. Look to the left and open the door to the Scribe’s study. There lies the third spot players need to sprinkle.
The fourth and fifth are a little bit trickier to get to. From the scribe’s room, climb into the attic and continue along the wooden stairs until reaching a brown door. This leads to the Alchemy lab and the place where players find Katherine lurking around.
If guards are giving Henry a hard time, players can always wear some high-end clothes and Lion Perfume
to facilitate persuading them into roaming around the Maids’ quarters. But be careful, use Saviour Schnapps
right before entering restricted areas to avoid committing trespassing and blocking the quest objectives.
Instead of going ahead, look at the left side of the small hallway and climb the stairs into two restricted zones. Doing it midday could be tricky, but if players do it fast, they won’t have any issues with the residents.
There are some guards patrolling this zone all the time. In some cases, these guards can get stuck near stairs or doors. If this happens, ‘Exit Save’ and reload the game to reset their patrols and access the blocked areas.
The fourth fireplace is one floor above, right next to the stairs. Sprinkle the potion and continue, then go into the furthest room with the restricted zone warning to find the fifth and final fireplace on the Crone side. Players can also look for Hans Capon and stick to him while he goes back to sleep, and follow him to his room to access the fireplace without the guard stopping them with a restricted area warning.
Demons of Trosky – All Maiden Fireplace Locations
From the last fireplace on the Crone side, backtrack to the room that connects to the bridge between the Castle sides (the spot where players found the second fireplace), then open the door and follow the wooden bridge on the left to the other side.
At the end of the bridge,e there’s a door that leads back to where Ulrich spends the day, and right in front of him is the first fireplace. Next, open the door that stands in front of him, and next to the first fireplace to find yet another room with the second fireplace.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: How to Get A Horse
A horse is a great way to traverse the world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Here’s how to get one.
Now, descend one floor into the kitchen, where Manyeta is, and sprinkle some holy water and banish the demons from the third fireplace. Next, it will be time to find the fourth and fifth fireplaces that are located in restricted zones in the upper rooms.
Now the Maiden’s side can be complicated, more so if players wander around in daylight. It would be convenient to wait until midnight (the guard shift) while residents sleep to sprinkle the last two fireplaces.
Climb back to the room with the second Fireplace, then take the stairs up until you see a door in front. By day, this place will be guarded and restricted, and by night, players should be able to access and sprinkle the Holy Water in the fourth fireplace.
In the opposite direction, there will be a Maiden’s Quarters, and players need to enter it and stealthily move around to find the fifth and last fireplace, sprinkle the water, and get out of there before upsetting its residents.
How To Complete Orsa’s Task In Demons of Trosky
Orsa will swear to the players that he knows where the demons are coming from and send them on subsequent quests to track them down. Henry will need to visit three spots, the first one positioned left from the courtyard, going down into the battlements of the castle near the shooting targets, and then going back to Orsa for the next direction.
As players approach the first ‘hotspot,’ they will notice it’s basically a latrine. Investigating it will trigger a brief monologue, and then Henry will be able to return to Orsa for ‘further instructions.’
Players will be able to question or obey Orsa’s indications, but it will be more or the same: the second place will be another latrine located on the Maiden’s side of the Castle, on the third floor (the one leading to the fourth and fifth fireplaces). The investigation point (allegedly a demon’s nest) is right in front of the stairs.
Going back to Orsa, Henry will be really angry and warn him about not fooling around and taking this seriously. But this will be to no avail, since the last demon spawn place will be yet another latrine, located on the Crone’s side of the castle, on the upper floor where the third fireplace is.
At this point, Henry will be furious, so going back to Orsa will trigger some funny responses. Needless to say, now comes a choice: returning to Orsa and laughing it off or beating the living death out of him for making a fool out of Henry.
Should You Brawl Orsa Or Let It Pass?
This is entirely up to the players’ choice, since except for a small reputation change and the possibility to brawl against Orsa without too many significant consequences, there’s little difference.
Depending on their playstyle, they can shrug it off and lose some reputation, but gaining the respect of Ulrich, who knew Orsa was going to play a prank on him for being new in the Castle.
On the other side, brawling might go sideways, as fights in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 often lead to accidental deaths among NPCs. So, better thread carefully there.
Many decisions players make might not have obvious consequences at first, but later on, the game will probably remember Henry’s actions and respond accordingly, so choose carefully.
Needless to say, it won’t be an easy fight, and there’s a high chance of drawing unwanted attention and having to deal with the guards after (or during) the combat. So, probably not the best idea to beat the hell out of him in the first place.
Be it as it may, players will now be able to return to Ulrich to receive their rewards: Some Groschen, and level boosts for Scholarship, Vitality, and Survival, as well as extra Reputation.
