Every modern Sniper Elite game can be played in a number of different ways, and Sniper Elite: Resistance is no different in that regard. And while there are a wide variety of different strategies you can employ, they usually fall into one of two categories: loud or quiet.

We go over what Survival Mode is in Sniper Elite: Resistance and how to beat it.

The stealthier approach requires quite a bit of finesse and some careful planning in order to pull off. You don’t just have to be prepared during the mission, either; in order to truly have a stealthy mission end in a success, you’re going to need to build a loadout specifically tailored to fit your needs.

Best Stealth Loadout

The Stealth loadout in Sniper Elite Resistance.

This loadout aims to give you all the tools necessary to getthrough a mission in Resistance without the enemies ever being alerted to your presence, at least not until they’re dead. Much of this is going to require earning some unlocks to achieve, especially regarding weapon attachments.

This is a glance at the full loadout, but without detailing the weapon attachments or reasoning behind everything included.

Best Primary Weapon

The Lee NO.4 rifle in Sniper Elite Resistance.

The Lee NO.4 makes regular appearances in some of the best loadouts around, and for good reason: it’s a great rifle. It has some of the best versatility in the game. And for our purposes here, it fits beautifully.

This weapon has some of the best range potential in the game but can also be adjusted to have a fire rate that allows it to hold its own in mid-range.

Best Attachments For The Lee NO.4

The Lee NO.4 has the possibility of gaining an extremely low audible range for a rifle when using the right attachments, and that’s exponentially more true when combined with Subsonic ammo.

This table does not cover every attachment slot; it only covers the ones that are relevant for this build.

MK II-S Suppressor

Bullet Loops

Receiver

Short Travel Trigger

These attachments have a two-fold effect: they dramatically reduce the Lee NO.4’s audible range, as they increase the fire rate. This means you can fire your rifle without anyone the wiser in most situations, and if an enemy requires two shots to finish, that second shot can get off before they have a chance to make it to cover or alert their allies.

Both Subsonic and Non-Lethal ammo are the quietest ammo types in the game. While you won’t need them very often with this weapon’s build, they’re great for interior environments that are particularly infested with Nazis.

Best Secondary Weapon

The UD-42 in the loadout screen of Sniper Elite Resistance.

This one is a bit of a difficult choice, and in terms of pure audible range, the ERMA.36 beats the UD-42 very slightly. However, the UD-42 beats the ERMA.36 in terms of damage-per-second because of the higher fire rate.

Considering that most situations, even closer range, can be handled with your rifle, you’ll likely only be pulling out the secondary weapon when an enemy has seen you, and you need to put them down quickly before they can fire. The better damage-per-second gives you a better chance at accomplishing this, even if it makes for a gun that is very slightly louder.

Best Attachments For The UD-42

Similarly to the Lee NO.4, these attachments revolve around making the UD-42 quicker and quieter.

Rear Grip

Quick-Draw Grip

Receiver

Lightened Bolt

The suppressor, magazine, and special ammo will combine to make this weapon extremely quiet, while the Lightened Bolt is going to increase the rate of fire. The Quick-Draw Grip is going to help the weapon come out a little faster, making it easier to drop that enemy before it can make a sound.

Best Pistol

The Welrod in Sniper Elite Resistance.

The quietest pistol in the game is undisputedly the Welrod. That does not make it an easy pistol to use, and missing a shot with the Welrod can prove catastrophic. It has an extremely low fire rate, meaning that if you miss an enemy or if they don’t go down in one shot, it’s very likely they’ll make a sound before that next shot hits them.

But at its best, the Welrod is the best stealth option out there. Once you’re comfortable with it, it can save you a lot of rifle ammo and be the quietest possible firearm.

Best Attachments For The Welrod

The Welrod doesn’t require too many attachments to work effectively in this loadout. Still, these attachments will serve you well.

Special Ammo

Subsonic | Soft Point

Muzzle

Solid Stealth Baffles

Rear Grip

Khaki Grip Tape

Receiver

Reinforced Overpressure

These attachments both make the Welrod quieter and more lethal. Enemies that wear helmets can be a particular problem for the Welrod since, occasionally, the first shot on a helmet can just knock it off rather than kill the Nazi.

With the extra damage these attachments give you, you’ll be able to aim more for the neck or the top of their spine. That will fairly consistently be lethal, make for an easier target, and keep enemies from living long enough to tell tales about you.

Best Items

The items in the Stealth loadout highlighted in Sniper Elite Resistance.

Items in this loadout are mostly suited to healing you back up, or putting enemies down quietly.

Med Kit

A Med Kit in the Stealth loadout in Sniper Elite Resistance.

The Med Kit is going to bring your health to full from wherever it started. It can also revive you, provided you’ve got the ‘Back In The Fight’ skill unlocked.

Ideally, with this loadout, you are never going to be in a position to get shot. But things don’t always go as planned, and going in without any healing items can make a bad run worse.

Bandages

A Bandage in the Stealth loadout in Sniper Elite Resistance.

Bandages serve the same purpose as the Med Kit, just to a smaller degree. These will stop bleeding and bring back one health chunk.

Grenade (Two)

A Grenade in the Stealth loadout in Sniper Elite Resistance.

It may seem counter-intuitive to bring grenades with you in a stealth loadout, but not all grenades explode the same way.

Impact Grenades explode quietly and knock out enemies. It won’t put them down permanently, but it will put them down without nearby enemies hearing it, and you can always finish them off with the Welrod.

Impact Grenades are perfect for situations where there are two Nazis standing near each other. What would otherwise be a difficult situation to take care of quietly is made easy by tossing an Impact Grenade between them.

This loadout brings along two slots of grenades, all intended to be Impact Grenades.

Schu-Mine

The Schu-Mine in the loadout screen on Sniper Elite Resistance.

The Schu-Mine is another non-lethal explosive, this time acting as a quiet, non-lethal proximity mine. You won’t often be in a situation where you can use these instead of simply shooting an enemy or using an Impact Grenade, but they can watch your back quite well in densely populated interior areas.

Decoy

The Decoy in the Stealth loadout in Sniper Elite Resistance.

Sometimes, you’re going to get spotted, and when you do, the Decoy can help get you out of the situation without enemies even knowing you left. They’ll work on surrounding the Decoy while you work around behind them. Once they’ve realized what’s happened, you’ll have regained your stealth.

These can also be used as their fused variants, drawing enemy attention away while you move through areas that are being watched.
