These weapons are particularly good in the hands of the Bandit class and rely on the Dexterity stat to deal damage. Attacking with katars happens in quick succession, using speed to deal damage as quickly as possible. Deathgel Shivs
Damage: 4 – 15
The Deathgel Shivs are a level six katar with a common rarity and normal element. These weapons might have a lower range of base damage than the higher level Iron Katars, but the Deathgel Shivs also boost Stamina and Dexterity power by three points each allowing for more attacks or dashes between attacks.
Additionally, the rate at which critical hits can be made is increased by a minor zero point two percent. As the name suggests, the Deathgel Shivs can be obtained by defeating Deathgel’s in the Sanctum Catacombs.

Runic Katars
Damage: 9 – 15
The Runic Katars are a level 10 item with a Rare level of rarity an a normal element. Compared to the Deathgel Shivs, the Runic Katars deal the same amount of maximum damage but have a much higher minimum damage.
They can’t hit harder than the Deathgel Shivs, but they’ll deal more damage in general. When wielded, Dexterity power will be increased by four points. The Runic Katars don’t have an special ability that sets them apart, but can deal consistent levels of damage.

Geistlord Claws
Damage: 12 – 17
Unlike the other katars on this list, the Geistlord Claws deal damage with the Shadow effect. Despite this, elemental damage is not yet implemented as a feature in Atlyss. The Geistlord Claws are a level 12 Rare item, and can only be obtained from the boss chest after defeating Lord Zuulneruda in the Sanctum Catacombs.
Wearing the Geistlord Claws increases Dexterity power by five points, and also increases both evasion and the rate at which critical hits are dealt. For now, these claws deal a level of damage that is not outclassed until the later items available in the game.

Hellsludge Shivs
Damage: 13 – 16
Like the Geistlord Claws, the Hellsludge Shivs also have an elemental effect. When this system is added to the game, these will apply fire damage to foes. The Hellsludge Shivs can only be obtained by defeating the enemy that shares their name in the final level of the Sanctum Catacombs dungeon.
The range of damage on the Hellsludge Shivs is tighter than most of the preceding katars, and equipping them will increase Stamina by five points. The Dexterity power these weapons offer is also larger, adding seven points to your total.

Mithril Katars
Damage: 14 – 17
Mithril Katars are a level 15 common weapon that deals normal damage and can be found inside of pots in the Crescent Grove dungeon or purchased in a variety of shops. Their main appeal is their damage, which is higher than the Hellsludge Shivs in both the minimum and maximum range.
When worn, Stamina is increased by two points and Dexterity power by five. If you only want to deal damage without dealing with any special effects then these are the weapons to choose.

Serrated Knuckles
Damage: 15 – 22
Defense and offense combine in this weapon. The level 17 common rarity Serrated Knuckles are another weapon that deals normal damage, but has a much higher potential maximum damage range than the Mithril Katars.
Dexterity power is also greatly increased over the Mithril Katars at eight points, with a six point increase to Stamina as well. Additionally, equipping these katars will also increase your defense by 3 points. The Serrated Knuckles can be found within the Crescent Grove dungeon in chests or by defeating Deadwoods.

Frostbite Claws
Damage: 13 – 25
The Frostbite Claws are a level 18 pair of weapons that deal water damage, and are second only to the Golemfist Katars in their maximum potential. They have a 10 percent chance to apply the Cold status effect, slowing foes.
Once obtained from the boss chest after defeating Lord Kaluuz in the final level of the Sanctum Catacombs, the Frostbite Claws can be equipped for an increased Dexterity power of seven points and an increased chance to deal critical damage of one point five percent. The major downside to this weapon is the lower range of damage they can deal.

Golemfist Katars
Damage: 20 – 31
The katars with the highest potential to deal damage in the game are the level 21 Golemfist Katars. Every attack with this weapon will have a 12 percent chance to deal the Gash status effect, an effect that deals damage over time to the afflicted target.
On normal attacks, the Golemfist Katars can deal up to 31 damage, making them one of the most damaging weapons in the game. Using them will increase Health by five points, Dexterity power by 12 points, and Defense by three points. They can only be obtained by defeating the Colossus boss of the Crescent Grove dungeon.
