“I got a screener. It’s absolutely brilliant. I couldn’t take my eyes off it. Your results may vary, as they say, but I urge you to watch it when you can.”
Late Night With The Devil is about a strange broadcast of an episode of Night Owls with Jack Delroy. Host Jack (David Dastmalchian) interviews Lilly D’Abo (Ingrid Torelli), a 13-year-old who is supposedly possessed by the devil. Although there are some excellent demonic possession horror movies, Late Night With The Devil is unique because it has a massive twist that shifts the perspective of the entire story. The movie is partly a fun look at what it’s like to film a live broadcast of a TV show and also a genuinely scary tale.
This big moment makes Late Night With The Devil much more interesting than other movies about children or teenagers taken over by demonic spirits. While Lily has shades of Regan MacNeil from The Exorcist, Lily stands out because she’s on TV. According to Dread Central, King also tweeted about A Quiet Place: Day One, the prequel in the post-apocalyptic franchise. He wrote:
