- Some weapons, like Kamish’s Wrath, are among the strongest magical weapons in the world and can even be used to defeat powerful adversaries like the Monarchs.
The Solo Leveling series portrays hunters who fight monsters and monarchs to protect their world from creatures that seek to take over. In their many battles, some hunters use weapons, while others use their bare fists. Even with the weapons they use, some hunters can only deal minimal damage to their adversaries. As the most powerful weapons are crafted from the remains of monsters, they are incredibly expensive.

Solo Leveling: Every Main Character’s Rank, Class, And Guild
With the premiere of the Solo Leveling anime adaptation just around the corner, here’s a look at each main character’s rank and skills.
However, for Sung Jin-Woo, who can simply obtain weapons by killing monsters like in a video game, gathering weapons is much easier, and his weapons are of better quality than those that are generally offered to most. As weapons are created from the remains of various monsters, not all weapons are created equal, and some stand above the others.
Updated on February 7, 2025, by Oluwatokiloba Folami: To go from being mankind’s weakest hunter to becoming the strongest, Sung Jin-Woo used a plethora of weapons to fight against his adversaries and the monarchs. Of the many weapons he used in the Solo Leveling series, some are more powerful than others. While Sung Jin-Woo used many weapons, some didn’t come in the form of physical weapons like swords or daggers, but in the form of skills and shadow soldiers. While some may not be traditionally known as weapons, they have served similar purposes, if not more, compared to the powerful swords and daggers used in the Solo Leveling series.

Red Knight’s Helmet
As S-Rank Armor, Sung Jin-Woo Found Ways To Use It For Attack
- Item Class: S-Rank
- Effect: Physical Damage Reduction +15%, Strength +20, Stamina +20
During the Solo Leveling series, Sung Jin-Woo was never really shown with armor; however, that doesn’t mean he never used it. During his job change quest, Sung Jin-Woo obtained various pieces of armor and equipped them. However, as he could make them invisible, no one would know, but he would still be provided with the benefits.
As fans know, Sung Jin-Woo’s battle against Igris was no walk in the park. However, after defeating Igris, Sung Jin-Woo obtained his Red Knight’s Helmet. As an S-rank armor, the helmet gave him the stats: Physical Damage Reduction +15%, Strength +20, and Stamina +20. With these stats, Sung Jin-Woo could tank attacks with his head and also come out on top in a head-butting contest.

Ruler’s Authority
This Manaless Skill Helped Sung Jin-Woo In Many Situations
- Ability Class: Telekinesis
- Effect: Telekinetic ability
While it is a skill, Sung Jin-Woo’s use of Ruler’s Authority has made it one of his greatest weapons. As a skill, Ruler’s Authority started as Dominator’s Touch, which Sung Jin-Woo obtained from a rune stone after he defeated Igris. The skill eventually evolved into Ruler’s Authority during Sung Jin-Woo’s second visit to the Double Dungeon. The skill is exclusive to the Ruler’s and their vessels.

Solo Leveling: 10 Things Only Manhwa Fans Know About Sung Jin Woo
These incredible details about Solo Leveling’s indomitable protagonist, Sung Jin Woo are only known by fans of the manhwa series.
Ruler’s Authority is a telekinetic skill that allows Sung Jin-Woo to pull objects or individuals close to him. When the full power of the skill is unleashed, some have likened its potency to that of a black hole. Ruler’s Authority does not need any form of mana, so it is easy to use and highly versatile. Whether it be using it to pull his weapons back to him or to disorient his opponents, Sung Jin-Woo has used Ruler’s Authority in a plethora of ways.

Bellion
The Grand Marshal Of The Shadow Soldiers Is In A League Of His Own
- Rank: Grand-Marshal Grade
- Effect: Conversation, Regeneration
Many would agree that of Sung Jin-Woo’s strongest weapons, his shadow soldiers would undoubtedly take first place. Unlike many other hunters, Sung Jin-Woo was able to perform the impossible because he had the backing of an entire army around him, so while he was a one-man army, he wasn’t on his own.
While Bellion wasn’t his first shadow soldier, after he appeared, he was undoubtedly the strongest. Before Bellion and the rest of Ashborn’s shadow soldiers appeared, Beru was arguably Sung Jin-Woo’s strongest soldier; however, during their spar, Bellion easily came out on top. As the Grand Marshal of the Shadow Army, Bellion is incredibly powerful and incredibly loyal. Everything he does is to ensure his liege’s protection.

Kasaka’s Venom Fang
The Additional Effects Make It A Threat
- Item Class: C-Rank
- Effect: +25 Attack, Paralyze, Bleed
In terms of pure attacking power, Kasaka’s Venom Fang isn’t the most powerful of weapons. However, its effects—Bleed and Paralyze—make it very capable of taking down strong enemies. Sung Jin-Woo obtained the dagger after taking down the blue Venom-Fanged Kasaka, a large cobra that served as the boss of the Hapjeong Subway dungeon.
The dagger from Kasaka’s loot gives Sung Jin-Woo an attack power of +25; however, its paralyzing effect makes a target either stop moving entirely or move slower. If its bleed effect is activated upon striking a target, the target would lose 1% of its health every second as long as the bleed is in effect.

Knight Killer
The Bonus It Provides Against Armored Enemies Makes It Formidable
- Item Class: B-Rank
- Effect: Attack +75, +25% damage against armored enemies
Sung Jin-Woo obtained many of his weapons by killing monsters; however, for Knight Killer, that wasn’t the case. Sung Jin-Woo obtained Knight Killer from the system shop for 2,800,000 gold. As a B-ranked dagger, this weapon provided Sung Jin-Woo with an attack power of +75.
While the dagger is not one of the most powerful weapons, as its name suggests, it is effective against knights, granting an additional 25+ attack power when used against armored opponents. Sung Jin-Woo bought Knight Killer from the shop during his job change quest dungeon. As his former dagger could barely pierce through his opponent’s armor, Knight Killer became the perfect substitute.
5
Baruka’s Daggers
Additional Agility And Attack Power In One Weapon
- Item Class: A-Rank
- Effect: Attack +110, Agility +10
After surviving a red gate, Sung Jin-Woo faced Baruka, an ice elf. Despite being capable of defeating Rank B hunters at that time, Sung Jin-Woo had to team up with his shadow soldiers to defeat Baruka. Upon obtaining Baruka’s daggers, Sung Jin-Woo used them for a long time, up until the Demon Castle’s 100th floor.

Solo Leveling’s First Episode Is Exactly What Fans Were Hoping It Would Be
Setting things up for the rest of the series, Solo Leveling is off to a great start as it faithfully adapts the source material with minor changes.
Moreover, these daggers were what he used to defeat the Demon King Baran, showing how sturdy they are. Although the daggers are Rank A daggers, they certainly pack a punch. Moreover, apart from attacking power, the daggers also boost the user’s agility as they are infused with magic that reduces the user’s weight. Thereby, the daggers grant Sung Jin-Woo not just power but speed too.
4
Demon King’s Daggers
They Possess The Essence Of The Demon King’s Energy
- Item Class: S-Rank
- Effect: Attack +220, Two As One
The Demon King’s daggers are the weapons that Sung Jin-Woo used up until he obtained Kamish’s daggers from Thomas Andre. He gained the daggers after defeating the Demon King Baran, and with their attack power of +220, they were his most powerful weapons at that time.
As S-rank daggers, they are undoubtedly among the most powerful weapons in Sung Jin-Woo’s arsenal; however, while they could cut through just about anything and were effective against normal S-rank hunters, for national-level hunters like Thomas Andre and the Monarchs, the daggers couldn’t harm them and kept Sung Jin-Woo at a disadvantage when he used them against enemies of that level.
3
Orb Of Avarice
Doubling A Mage’s Destructive Power Shows Its Capabilities
- Item Class: SR (Super Rare) Rank
- Effect: Deals Fire elemental damage, Desire for Destruction
The Orb of Avarice is one of the various drops that Sung Jin-Woo obtained after killing Vulcan, the ruler of the lower floors in the Demon Castle. The orb is greatly efficient for a magical-type hunter, as it doubles its user’s magic damage.

Solo Leveling: Every Known SSS Rank Hunter
These hunters stand out even among S-rank hunters due to their immensely powerful abilities that can hardly be measured.
While this is merely an item, in the hands of Sung Jin-Woo and Tusk, whom he eventually gives the Orb to, it serves as a great weapon. With the Orb of Avarice in the hands of an accomplished mage (Tusk), few sorcerers, and even dragons, could hope to compete with Tusk in terms of firepower. Moreover, most crafted items or weapons can only multiply a user’s target by about 40–50%. As the orb offers a 100% increase, its power is evident for all to see.
As with many things, weapons and people alike, the Demon King’s daggers served as weapons that couldn’t quite keep up with Sung Jin-Woo’s growth and the increasingly powerful adversaries that came with his ascension. If Korea’s 10th S-ranked hunter remained as he was, then they may have sufficed, but Sung Jin-Woo never stops leveling up.
In terms of attack power, the Demon King’s daggers remained the weapon with the most attack power that Sung Jin-Woo personally used. While they’re relatively impressive, they remain a far cry from the level of Kamish’s Wrath, but even still, they proved their worth and served as very useful weapons for the period Sung Jin-Woo used them.
2
Demon King’s Longsword
- Item Class: S-Rank
- Effect: Attack +350, Storm of White Flames
On the Demon Castle’s 100th floor, Sung Jin-Woo faced the magical copy of Baran, the Monarch of White Flames. After the tough battle that ensued between them, Sung Jin-Woo gained the Demon King’s Longsword as one of the items that were dropped. With its attack of 350, the Longsword is one of the strongest weapons in Sung Jin-Woo’s arsenal.
Despite its immense attack, the Longsword also offers a Storm of White Flames effect, which spreads lightning whenever and wherever it is swung. As Sung Jin-Woo’s main weapon is a dagger, he eventually gave the Longsword to Igris to use as his main weapon, and Igris was more than capable of contending against S-Class-ranked hunters with it.
Considering the Monarch of Flames, or at least his copy who served as the final boss of the 100 floor Demon’s Castle, used the long sword, the Demon King’s sword was always going to be an exceptional weapon. Moreover, giving it to the Bloodred Knight Igris was a fitting choice.
As ‘white flames’ in the name Monarch of White Flames represented lightning, some speculate that the long sword might’ve been a weapon of Baran’s making it something that once belonged to a Monarch. Even without that comparison, the status effects of the Demon King’s longsword make it a top-tier weapon.
1
Kamish’s Wrath
An Additional Attack Power Of 1500+ Makes It Rank Far Above Average S-Rank Weapons
- Item Class: ??
- Effect: Attack +1500, Mana Sensitivity
These daggers, crafted from humanity’s worst disaster, the dragon Kamish, are among the strongest magical weapons in the world, if not the strongest. The daggers were crafted from Kamish’s strongest and largest tooth, which Thomas Andre kept as a souvenir after the dragon was defeated.
In comparison to other weapons portrayed in the series, Kamish’s Wrath is simply top-tier, as Sung Jin-Woo was able to stab and kill various Monarchs with it. Unfortunately, the daggers did not work on Antares, as they were crafted from a dragon, and Antares is the King of Dragons. Even then, before obtaining Ashborn’s full legacy, Kamish’s Wrath played a pivotal role in Sung Jin-Woo being able to injure and kill the Monarchs.
Many of Sung Jin-Woo’s weapons were either obtained by defeating monsters, outright purchases, or as inheritances from Ashborn depending on if they were physical weapons or shadow soldiers. However, his daggers Kamish’s Wrath were a gift from Thomas Andre as an apology.
In terms of effectiveness, Kamish’s wrath was way stronger than the Demon King’s daggers as they were capable of hurting even the Monarchs. Aside from being cemented as one of Sung Jin-Woo’s most iconic pieces due to their sheer power and history, they also serve as a symbol of the respect and alliance between Sung Jin-Woo and the world’s number first-ranked National Level Hunter.
