New Anime from Rent-A-Girlfriend Creator Drops Trailer, Release Window
The Shiunji Family Children dropped its first trailer, and is now slated for 2025!
The production team has just unveiled a new visual for Season 4, featuring Chizuru Mizuhara, the first “girlfriend” that Kazuya rents, and he eventually falls in love with her. Sora Amamiya, who voices Chizuru in Japan, stated that the characters will get closer in the upcoming season, and she is happy about how far the anime has come. Check the new poster out:
When Is Season 4 Coming Out?
As previously reported, Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 4 will premiere in July 2025 – the production has now revealed it will be split into two cours. It is not clear when the second cour will air, but, given the first one is running from July to September, the series is likely to then return in January 2026.
Which Arcs of the Manga Will Be Adapted?
The anime has covered up to Chapter 167 (the first chapter of Volume 20), and so the new season is likely to begin from Chapter 168. Given the pacing of the anime, it could adapt up to Volume 30 or Volume 31 (considering the two cours).
That means it will cover one of the most controversial arcs of the story, the Hawaii Trip Arc, also known as the Paradise Arc – which is oddly the second favorite arc of most fans (the first one was adapted in Season 3, the Dream Arc). One of the things fans don’t like in this arc is its slow pacing, although there have been lots of breaks, so that could partially be a wrong impression.
Kazuomi Koga, who directed Seasons 1 and 2, will be back to direct the fourth season. Mitsutaka Hirota is once again in charge of the scripts.
Rent-A-Girifriend is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
