Summary
- PS Plus members can get 20 percent off PS5 accessories from now until February 19, 2025.
- You will need to buy at least two accessories that come to at least $100 pre-discount, though.
- The Portal, DualSense Edge, and other PS5 accessories are eligible for the discount.
The PS5 is in its fifth year and has picked up quite a few officially licensed accessories during its first half a decade. Most of those accessories are pretty expensive, but if you have PS Plus, you can currently grab a couple of them for less with PlayStation knocking 20 percent off your total if you buy two accessories or more provided that pre-discount total comes to more than $100.
If you head to the accessories page at PlayStation Direct right now you’ll be met with a banner informing you of the new offer which is live now and runs until February 19, 2025. Anyone with an active PS Plus membership who buys two or more PS5 accessories will get 20 percent off each of those accessories as long as they’re spending over $100, and everything included in the sale appears to have had a “Deal” label slapped on it.
That does appear to mean the PlayStation VR2 and its accompanying accessories aren’t included in the deal, just in case you were finally planning on taking the VR2 plunge in 2025.
That means you can currently pick up the highly after PlayStation Portal for 20 percent off, its price cut from $200 to $160 if you check all the boxes that need to be checked to qualify for this promotion. That does mean having to buy at least one other accessory to get your Portal for a discount.
PS Plus Members Can Get Money Off PS5 Accessories For A Limited Time
There Are A Few Caveats, But It’s Worth It
The cheapest way to do that is by picking up a DualSense charging station to go along with your Portal. The charging station is $29.99 when full price which means, when bought with a Portal, its price will be cut to $24. Add a Portal and a charging station to your cart and, as long you have PS Plus and you’re signed in, you will get both items for $184, so still considerably less than a full-price Portal and you’re getting another accessory along with it.
-
PlayStation Portal
The PlayStation Portal is a handheld companion to Sony’s PlayStation 5 console. Based around the features of a DualSense controller and Remote Play, it features an eight-inch LCD screen at 1080p resolution capable of 60fps, a headphone jack for wired audio.
-
PlayStation DualSense Edge Wireless Controller
The PlayStation DualSense Edge is a highly customizable pro controller designed for use with the PS5 console, featuring modular stick caps, fully remappable inputs, and custom profiles.
If you’ve been considering pulling the haptic trigger on a DualSense Edge then the base white model of the controller is also included in this sale. Like the Portal, the Edge will be $160 rather than $200 if you get it in this PS Plus sale and buy it with something else. If you don’t need or want a charging station, other cheaper options for your second item that qualify include a normal DualSense and some of the PS5’s console covers.
If you want the Midnight Black versions of the Portal or the DualSense Edge, you can pre-order them now, but they’re not eligible for the 20 percent off offer. That goes for anything else that is still in a pre-order period at PlayStation Direct.
