One of the new mechanics added in Marvel Rivals Season 1 was Recursive Destruction, and fans have been quite curious to know what it is all about. Marvel Rivals offers a variety of different maps that require different playstyles to navigate and successfully gain an advantage over opponents. While choosing the right character in Marvel Rivals is a crucial aspect, there are a lot of other tactical decisions players need to take to gain an advantage over their opponents.

Marvel Rivals: 7 Most Underrated Characters In The Game
Everyone in Marvel Rivals brings something to the table, but these characters tend to fall under the radar.
One of the interesting aspects of the map in Marvel Rivals is that certain structures can be outright destroyed. This allows players to clear up the battlefield and is a very handy tactic that aggressive teams use. However, after the release of Marvel Rivals Season 1, the developers have released the exact opposite of that mechanic.
What Is Recursive Destruction In Marvel Rivals?
Just like players can attack structures to destroy them in Marvel Rivals, there is also an option to rebuild structures with the help of the Recursive Destruction mechanic. It should be noted that this is separate from the auto-respawn behavior of buildings, which has been a controversial aspect of the game. After structures are destroyed in Marvel Rivals, they spawn automatically after a given time, but with Recursive Destruction, players can control when the building respawns. Although this can be a handy mechanic for both attackers and defenders, the latter might benefit from it a bit more. Having more structures in the vicinity will ensure that the defending team has more cover for their characters.
How To Use Recursive Destruction In Marvel Rivals
Thankfully, using Recursive Destruction is quite easy in Marvel Rivals. All players need to do is hit these destroyed structures to make them spawn again. However, it should be noted that not all structures support Recursive Destruction. In order to find structures that support Recursive Destruction, players can activate Chrono Vision in Marvel Rivals, and look for objects that are surrounded by red lines.
Also, it is crucial to note that these structures are only found in the Midtown map for now, although it is likely that the developers might introduce them to more maps in the near future. Once players have found a structure, all they need to do is attack it, and it will rebuild in no time.
There are also a few missions that require players to trigger Recursive Destruction, so players should try to make use of it as much as possible.
