Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - Miri Fajta Quest Guide (Marika Location)

Miri Fajta is a fairly lengthy sidequest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 that involves a camp of Romani nomads and their leader’s missing daughter, Marika. This quest involves a fair bit of traveling, and depending on how you handle things, it can end without a single drop of blood being shed.

How you tackle this quest can have an effect on your reputation in KCD2, especially with the nomads and the villagers of Semine. Moreover, finding Marika can be pretty tricky, and there’s much more to do once you actually get to her. Here’s what you need to do to complete the Miri Fajta quest.

If players are not careful about what they eat, they can be poisoned in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Here is how to can cure this.

We’ll be trimming away most of the unimportant optional objectives for this quest and focus on only the most pressing matters.

Where to Find Marika

Marika can be found in a cave in Appolonia. You can find out about her whereabouts by either checking her tent and asking around, or speaking with Bozhena (provided you’ve completed the Bad Blood quest prior to this).

To reach Marika, head southeast of Trosky Castle and head for the large clearing where the local woodcutters chopped down one too many trees. From there, look for a path inside the rock formation as pictured above, and follow the bloody handprints along the walls. She’ll be with her lover Bohush, who has been severely injured. From here, your goal is to:

  • Find medical supplies for Bohush
  • Get the amulet from the Voivode

Go to Aranka, and she’ll give you some bandages and Marigold for Bohush. She’ll also tell you to pick some Comfrey, just in case Bohush’s wounds are deep. You can find some in Troskowitz, in the apothecary’s garden right in front of the guardhouse.

Getting the Amulet

As for the Voivode’s amulet, he’ll agree to give it to you if you agree to do a favor for him: rescue his son, Tibor, and bury his other son, Gezja. Both objectives will be highlighted on your map. They’re fairly simple, though they’ll take a bit of work and traveling around.

Rescue Tibor

You can find Tibor tied up inside the town Saddler’s barn. There’s a guard posted at the entrance — depending on your playstyle, you can either bribe or convince him to let Tibor go, but if you don’t want to lose money or reputation within Semine, simply go to the back of the barn and enter through the open window. Look at ropes tying Tibor’s hands and interact with them. Set him loose, and follow him into the woods.

Bury Gezja

Gezja's body location in KCD2

Gezja was murdered by woodcutters and tied up to a tree. You can find his body west of Semine, at the tip of the forest next to the woodcutters’ camp. Unfortunately, the tree is on private property, and you’ll either have to beat all the woodcutters or make a deal with the foreman. After dealing with the peasants, follow the quest marker west and look for Tibor along the cliff edge.

The Amulet and the Voivode’s Letter of Safe Conduct

The Voivode will tell you he’ll give you the amulet if you get the Letter of Safe Conduct from Marika. Go to Marika, and tell her you’ll swap the letter for the amulet. She’ll tell you the letter’s location — in a tree near a stream close to the cave. Exit the cave, turn right, then head down the valley. Look for the tall tree pictured above, and search the trunk. There should be a hollowed-out space there containing the letter.

Once you have the letter, return to the Nomad Camp. If you want the best ending, don’t give the letter to the Voivode yet. Instead, speak with Tibor. He’ll tell you to make a bet with the Voivode to guarantee that he’ll give you the amulet. Once you make this wager with the Voivode, you’ll then compete against Tibor in a horse race and a fist fight. Before you start the competition, speak with Aranka, she’ll help you win by giving you a drug for Tibor’s horse.

Winning the Horse Race

Racing against Tibor in KCD2

For reference, Tibor’s horse has the following stats:

  • Stamina: 166
  • Speed: 42
  • Courage: 28

You’ll likely need to get a better horse in KCD2 if you want to win this race. At the very least, find one with 150 Stamina, 30 Speed, and 15 Courage. This way, you can abuse the Head Start Horsemanship perk and use shortcuts along the racetrack to win. Make sure to drug Tibor’s horse as well. You’ll need all the help you can get.

Endings

The good ending of the Miri Fajta quest in KCD2

To get a good ending, you need to win the bet. If you don’t beat Tibor in the horse race, you’ll then need to fight him in the Nomad Camp arena in a bout of fisticuffs. If you win the fistfight, you’ll then need to beat the Voivode in a game of dice. After you score two wins, the Voivode will come with you to see Marika, and the quest will end in celebration.

However, if you fail to win the bet, the Voivode will deny you the amulet, and Marika will refuse to return to the village, ending the quest in a sour note.
