How To Get Frankfurt Steel
Frankfurt Steel is a blacksmithing item used for crafting equipment and items. It can mostly be purchased from Armourers or Blacksmiths in the game, although not all of them will sell it.
To start, you’ll need to progress through the main story until you reach the point of no return of the Trosky Region. Once you’ve crossed this point, you’ll embark on a long quest before proceeding into the second region of the game, known as Kuttenberg.
The game will make it clear when you’ve reached this milestone.
Kuttenberg is a large area, and when you first arrive, you won’t be able to reach the main settlement directly. Instead, you’ll find yourself in a small village in the far west. From here, you’ll need to travel all the way to the east on horseback to reach the settlement.
The reason for this is that Frankfurt Steel is primarily sold by Armourers and Blacksmiths in the Kuttenberg settlement, and there are several of them scattered around.
Below is a list highlighting the main traders who sell Frankfurt Steel:
- One Armourer at the Smuggler’s Den area.
- Three Armourers and two Blacksmiths just north of the Smuggler’s Storehouse.
- One Armourer near the Fountain.
- One Blacksmith near the west entrance fast travel point.
When approaching these traders, go to the Materials tab, and you should find Frankfurt Steel available for purchase.
While it is possible to find Frankfurt Steel by looting cabinets or chests, the chances are quite low, and it’s not guaranteed. This is why Kuttenberg remains your best option for obtaining it.
