Here are the best kill challenges in Sniper Elite: Resistance!
Before you go throwing these explosives around like you’re in an action movie, you’ll want to know the basics so that you don’t accidentally turn yourself into a crater. To help you avoid becoming the casualty of your own destruction, here’s a guide on where to locate Satchel charges and the best ways to use them.
How To Find Satchel Charges
Finding satchel charges is straightforward if you know where to look. When using your focus ability, they will be outlined in yellow and be seen through walls, making them easier to spot in the environment. Typically, these explosives are placed near the objectives or obstacles where they’ll be required, so you won’t have to stray too far to locate one.
Search loot piles in and around buildings, particularly on tables, shelves, or crates. If your mission objective explicitly requires a satchel charge, the game often ensures one is nearby to save you from unnecessary exploration.
Alternatively, you can equip a satchel charge by adding it to your loadout before starting the game. It’s a smart choice, as most missions will require one at some point, whether for primary or optional objectives.
How To Use Satchel Charges
Satchel charges are versatile tools for destruction, and they’re specifically designed for demolishing obstacles that standard explosives or bullets can’t handle. Once you’ve found one, you’ll have two main options for detonation: up close or from a safe distance. Each method suits different scenarios, depending on how much time and space you have to set your trap.
How To Detonate A Satchel Charge Up Close
To detonate a satchel charge up close, place it directly on your target and interact with it to set the timer. You’ll have the choice between a slow timer or a fast timer.
The slow timer is ideal when you need extra time to find cover and avoid detection or harm from the blast radius. This option ensures a safe retreat, allowing you to position yourself strategically before the explosion. The fast timer is better suited for high-pressure situations where speed is crucial, but make sure you’ve already found a safe spot to go to before activating it.
How To Detonate A Satchel Charge From Range
For a safer approach, you can detonate satchel charges remotely. This method allows you to stay hidden and out of danger while still taking out critical targets.
After placing the Satchel charge, back away to a safe distance and use your sniper rifle or another firearm to shoot the charge. It will glow red to help with aiming, and when you use Empty Lung, a red diamond will highlight it. The resulting explosion will still be powerful enough to accomplish your objective while keeping you completely out of harm’s way.
This tactic is especially useful in stealth-heavy missions or when dealing with large groups of enemies near the target.
