A new selection of Humble Choice games has arrived, and it’s another great month for Steam Deck owners, even if one of the games initially appears to be Unsupported on the handheld. With genres such as FPS, RPG, and strategy all covered in this month’s games, there’s sure to be something for everyone.
Running games on the best handheld gaming PC is simple when they come with a Verified or Playable rating, but even if a game is showing as Unsupported, it may still run well on Valve’s Steam Deck. This is the case for one of this month’s games; Immortals of Avenum.
For the low $11.99 (£8.99) cost, you can save $216.92 (£177.83) against the full price of these games on Steam. There is no membership obligation, meaning you can pay for one month of Humble Choice, claim your games, and cancel your subscription at any time – the games are yours to keep forever.
The February 2025 Humble Choice games are:
- Trepang2 – Steam Deck Playable
- Total War: Pharaoh Dynasties – Steam Deck Playable
- Griftlands – Steam Deck Verified
- Tales & Tactics – Steam Deck Playable
- My Little Universe – Steam Deck Playable
- Naheulbeuk’s Dungeon Master – Steam Deck Playable
- Fabledom – Steam Deck Playable
- Immortals of Avenum – Unsupported, but works with AMD FSR
Trepang2 is an incredibly underrated FPS filled with fast-paced action and adrenaline-inducing gunfights. We’ve even gone so far as to call Trepang2 the “best FPS of the decade so far”, so if that doesn’t get you excited to play, I don’t know what will.
In a complete change of pace, Total War: Pharaoh Dynasties is an excellent strategy game that has overhauled the original Pharaoh experience and added additional playable factions, map locations, and much more. What started as an unfavorable outlier of the Total War franchise has swiftly recovered and shows that Creative Assembly can’t be counted out when it comes to real-time strategy.
For fans of indie hits, Griftlands fits the bill to perfection. This roguelike deck-builder holds a stunning 94% rating on Steam, not just because of its tight mechanics and unique art style, but also because it creates a genuinely engaging story where every decision you make has consequences.
The elephant in the room is Immortals of Avenum, which currently holds an Unsupported rating, but this isn’t entirely accurate. With both AMD FSR 2 and 3 in the Performance setting, the game is capable of reaching a solid 30fps and even as high as 50fps if left uncapped. The most likely reason for the rating is that a game must perform on the Steam Deck with its default settings to earn a Playable rating, and without the help of AMD FSR, this isn’t possible for Immortals on Steam Deck.
