As you explore Bohemia, you’ll come across references to other games. Only recently, we reported that it houses a reference to legendary Elden Ring player, Let Me Solo Her. It seems more references are being spotted all over the game’s world, with the latest one being about the iconic line delivered by the guards in Skyrim.
Then I Took An Arrow To The Head
Skyrim’s “arrow to the knee” dialogue is probably one of the most famous lines uttered in a video game. So, it’s not surprising that a game like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which takes so much inspiration from The Elder Scrolls series, would feature a reference to it.
As spotted by GamesRadar+, on Henry’s journey across the land, you’ll eventually come upon an NPC with something sticking out of his head. You eventually learn that what looks like a horn at first is actually a portion of an arrow that the poor peasant took to the head. Upon continuing the conversation, Henry will reveal that he “heard of a bloke that took an arrow to the knee.”
It’s a pretty obvious reference to Skyrim, but Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 decided to raise the stakes. “Hah! To the knee? That’s nothing,” responds the NPC. “You could go dancing the next day with a scratch like that. But, have you ever heard of anyone who took one to the head and lived to tell the tale?”
It seems that the game may be full of references to other iconic titles, so keep your eyes peeled as you make your way across the land. Considering that getting a Platinum trophy for the game might take upward of 200 hours, there’s a lot to explore.
While it’s not exactly a reference, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 followed in the footsteps of Red Dead Redemption 2 and motion captured an entire horse.
