Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that the Colombian Grammy-nominated singer J Balvin will voice a character in the currently airing Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-. The musician will be involved in the English and Spanish dubs of the series, which has been airing since January 4, with the English dub premiering on January 18. The Medellin-born artist expressed his excitement at “getting involved in the anime world”, describing the casting as “an absolute honour”.
No information about which specific role J Balvin will play has been revealed as yet, but it has been identified as “a key character”.

More English dub cast members should be revealed as time goes on.

The series also features motion graphics by Ghost in the Shell production studio Production I.G, and is co-produced by Aniplex and Crunchyroll.
