- The new 3,000 COD Points bundle for Terminator operator skins sparked disappointment among players.
Call of Duty has kicked off its new Terminator event in Black Ops 6 and Warzone, but a lot of players aren’t happy for a magnitude of reasons. The Terminator event will run until February 20, allowing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone players to get their hands on plenty of new rewards, such as a new weapon blueprint, double XP tokens, a full auto weapon mod for the AEK-973, and more. However, the repetitiveness of the event and overpriced bundle in the store has once again left fans disappointed.
Before Call of Duty‘s collaboration with The Terminator franchise for a new in-game event, publisher Activision partnered up with Netflix to bring a new Squid Game event to Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The event saw a handful of new modes added to Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone, as well as a controversial event pass that allowed players to pay 1,100 to unlock premium cosmetic items such as the Front Man operator skin. While there was a free version of the pass also available, fans made it known that they weren’t happy with even more microtransactions being added to the game.

Call of Duty Fans Call Terminator Event a “Big L”
Unfortunately, it looks like the newest Call of Duty event has once again brought controversy along with it. Since the event kicked off on February 6, multiple posts have appeared on the Black Ops 6 subreddit blasting it as “boring” and a “big L.” Reddit user Broadspeed1 said that The Terminator event “looks about as enthralling as watching paint dry,” while user Stealthnice said they were expecting it to be similar to the Squid Game event, with unlockable skins in the event pass, but have been left disappointed to see that both of the new Terminator operator skins must be purchased via the Call of Duty store. There are other free rewards up for grabs, such as a new weapon blueprint, calling card, and more, but the user referred to them as “mid.”
It seems like Call of Duty‘s Terminator event rewards have plenty of other users feeling the same way, as user Craig536 says the new weapon blueprint “looks okay,” while the other cosmetic items are “nothing special.” Reddit user —OZ– was much more critical, however, calling the rewards “absolute garbage” and noted that even the double XP tokens included aren’t even 1-hour tokens.
But it isn’t just the event rewards that fans are disappointed with, as many are blasting the price of the new Terminator operator bundle in Call of Duty. Unlike the recent Squid Game event, fans must fork out 3,000 COD Points if they want to obtain either of the new Terminator operator skins for Black Ops 6 and Warzone. While most bundles are usually priced between 2,000 and 2,800 COD Points, 3,000 is one of the more expensive purchases in the store. With that being said, a more expensive bundle could be on the way, if recent leaks are to be believed. Data miners recently uncovered a new operator skin that will be included in a bundle priced at an eye-watering 3,300 COD Points, but it has yet to make its way to the in-game store.
