Even though it might sound confusing at first, there are numerous options available in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 that allow players to rest and restore their energy levels. While exploring the open areas and forests, you may come across Abandoned Camps, which have rags you can sleep on—acting as great spots to get some shut-eye.

However, since you’re out in the open, there’s always a risk of your sleep being interrupted by roaming bandits. Another free sleeping option is hay near inns, with the Inn at Troskovitz being a great early location to visit.

These sleeping methods might get the job done, but some players may prefer a comfy bed that offers uninterrupted sleep for multiple hours. For that, you’ll need to visit Lodgings. Lodgings aren’t available everywhere, but Zhelejov is a great place to start since it’s close to the starting location and has a Fast Travel point.

Near the Lodgings, you can find an Innkeeper who will sell you a room, whether for a single night or a longer stay. Payment is always required in advance, but you can try haggling to save some valuable Groschen.

Once you purchase a room for the night, the Innkeeper will usually inform you where to find it inside the inn. If you can’t locate it for some reason, look for a green wreath above the door.

Players not interested in purchasing accommodations every day can opt for a different solution. You can buy lodging for a longer duration, which costs more Groschen upfront but eliminates the need to pay daily. Another option is to acquire your own bed. As you progress through the main story, the game provides beds for you to sleep in. Additionally, some side quests, like the Blacksmith’s questline in Tachov or Miller’s questline in Lowers Semine Mill, reward you with a bed to sleep on.

Whenever you’re inside a castle, engaged in a main quest, or in any restricted area, a bed will always be available nearby should you need to rest.

Sleeping in any bed saves your game progress without the need to use Savior Schnapps. It also presents you with a clock that allows you to see advancing time in the world outside.
