If you make a habit of Alchemy and using potions in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you’ll often find yourself rummaging through foliage looking for certain herbs and flowers. Henry’s come to see us, again!

Mint is one such ingredient, notably used in the Cockeral potion, which helps with Energy and reducing tiredness. However, Mint is not often found in the wilderness, so knowing where to look is not as simple as most herbs.

KCD2 Mint in Herb Garden

Mint is a tall, leafy herb with a strong green colour and despite the illustration in the herbarium, it does not have any notable blossom at the top. It can easily blend in with tall grass or be mistaken for the similar-looking Nettle, but usually, it will not be found in the wilds, and is more commonly grown locally.

To find Mint, the most reliable method would be to check with Apothecaries and Herbalists to purchase some, which will most likely be dried unless they cultivate it nearby. This will be suitable for standard potions but dried herbs means you’re less likely to create strong versions of the decoctions.

If you’re hoping to find fresh Mint, then your best bet is to check in herb gardens, which are often near Apothecaries or in the gardens of village homes. Failing this, check around the gardens anyway, as mint is more likely to grow in these habited areas, alongside the buildings, or in small cultivated patches.

There are a large number of villages in the game, so check in with villages and towns that have Apothecaries, alchemy benches, or drying sheds, as these are more likely to have them cultivated nearby, if not for sale.

Mint can still be found in the wilderness too, though much less likely, so it’s worth keeping an eye out just in case, as it’s worth making the most of any you find as and when – or if not needed, making a note of where you come across it.
