While getting lost in adventuring across the vast island can be easy, it’s important to take care of the other neighbors. Don’t neglect the other Sanrio folks! Each character has a friendship level with the main character and, as it grows, new rewards unlock.
One of the easiest ways to level up a friendship level with a character is by gifting them goodies they like. Each character can receive three gifts every day. Make sure to make the rounds every day and give everyone their three gifts to level up friendship faster and more efficiently.

Travel In Style
The overworld map can be a bit overwhelming and scary at first glance, but don’t fret, Cinnamoroll has just the solution: mailboxes. The mailboxes in Hello Kitty Island Adventure act as the game’s teleport points and are activated for future use after the first time players interact with them.

To unlock Fast Travel in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you must first unlock the Spooky Swamp and meet Kuromi and Cinnomoroll.

Any avid Animal Crossing fan may know the art of time travel all too well. Although it was never really encouraged and only truly reprimanded in older AC games, most players have had at least one experience using time travel. Time travel entails manually changing the clock on the console to fool the game into thinking the adjusted time is the correct time, seeing up things like crop growths, seasonal events, and more. However, time travel is strongly discouraged in Hello Kitty Island Adventure!
Don’t give in to the urge to jump around from day to day. To make things fair, the developers even send a letter in the mail (in-game) to new players, letting them know all the repercussions for breaking their rules against time travel.

Use Your Bouquets
Make The Most Of Your Day
Players will automatically be gifted these beautiful flower bouquets from the developers (found in the mail section in the menu). Don’t overlook these floral delights! There are two kinds of bouquets: friendship bouquets and island bouquets. Using the friendship bouquet will immediately reset all islanders’ gifts for the day, allowing players to give another three gifts to up their friendship levels yet again. The island bouquets allow players to reset all the island’s resources.
Once it seems like all the daily tasks are done, use a bouquet for a quick reset. This will maximize the progress players can make in a single day by bypassing the regular 24-hour reset.

Always Look Up

While the default stamina bar can make climbing a bit difficult, it’s a task well worth the trouble. It can be easy to forget about the climbing mechanic, so always take a breather to stop, look around, and climb every hill or mountain in sight.

Scavenge Everyday

All the resources found around the island only respawn once every 24 hours, so don’t waste any time. These island resources are precious and are especially key in the first hours (and even the first couple of days) of the game. Make sure scavenging is high on the list of Hello Kitty Island Adventure dailies as it ensures players will have the items they need for both gifting and crafting.
If there are any resources left on the island, they will simply disappear at the reset time. Don’t let these rare resources go to waste. Make sure to traverse the whole island at least once a day.
