Space Marine 2 Teases 2025 Plans
Saber Interactive teases fans with what they can expect from Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 in 2025 as the team releases next year’s roadmap.
Firstly, Space Marine 2‘s Battle Barge has received a new expansion. Named The Datavault, players can now complete Ordeals in Campaign, Operations, and Eternal War modes to unlock a variety of rewards, including new armor parts and weapon skins. In addition, there is also a new Tech-Priest workshop in the Armory, which is where players can exchange their armory data for higher-tier versions or simply sell it. Space Marine 2‘s new Extremis-tier enemy type, the Biovore, comes as part of the new update as well, and can now show up in all operations. Biovores can shoot spore mines that go off if stepped on, but also pack quite a punch at close range.
As stated earlier, Space Marine 2 features a battle pass, which has also been expanded. A new Salamander champion pack is available for the Sniper class, as is a new cosmetic armor set inspired by the Raven Guard. Customization is a key part of Space Marine 2, allowing players to tinker with their very own Space Marine campaign, and PvP and PvE missions. In addition to these cosmetic upgrades, Space Marine 2‘s new update also adds a number of balance changes in its latest patch. Saber Interactive states that it’s a top priority to improve perk trees across every class in the game and that these new tweaks are intended to benefit a variety of different play styles.
For those obsessed with Space Marine 2‘s online component, a new PvP map named “Tomb” has been released, as has a new difficulty for the game’s PvE mode. Now players can crank their game up to a new difficulty named “Absolute,” which sounds quite challenging. Other notable tweaks and changes include an FOV slider, new finishing moves, and an option to enable PvP crossplay for console players. All this and more is now live in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, with the full patch notes being found below.
